From the anime School Days, Makoto Ito starts off as your typical male student. Shy and timid around girls. A sudden turn of events and he seems to be changed into a super confident person doing whatever he wants no matter the consequences.
Why I like him: He's a real person with real male flaws. I'm not saying every male is a skirt chaser like he turns out to be, but it is a typical trait among some men who can not seem to commit to one girl.
Why I hate him: A cute, shy, innocent boy turned into a disgusting sex fiend. While this was hilarious it was nasty at the same time.
Overall: Love him or hate him, if you've seen the show, Makoto is a boy whom you'll never forget about because of his nice boat.

You’re all feminist-chauvinists. I’m pretty sure had if it had been a GIRL who had gone around cheating boys of their feelings all of you would have been making excuses for her instead of condemning her.
Think about it. Right from the start Makoto only wanted Kotonoha…..and no one else. It was that other female Sekai Saionji who corrupted him with her “special training” sessions and dragging him off to the rooftop. Only from THEN onwards he started fooling around other girls. And since these other girl were so well informed about him (thanks to their gossip network) they knew FULLY well what they were getting into when they got involved with him. Typical females…they ALWAYS want what the other girls also want….esp if he has a reputation as a bad boy. They always condemn the bad boy who sleeps around…..and then they find themselves sleeping with him too.
And for those of you sadists who think you loved the last part (yeah the boat reference), did you also like how calmly Kotonoha ripped apart Sekai’s womb? So who was the REAL liar & cheater in the whole series then? There was no baby after all.
Oh, & going back to the boat reference…well at least, in the end, the guy that all you chauvinists hate? Makoto, found someone who still loves him…..even after death. Makotoa & Kotonoha….together at last.

Love him or hate him? i don’t think anyone likes him. But I do agree he is a true human being. One only needs to think of John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods…to see reflections of these people in him. As for myself, I just feel sorry for him. While I certainly don’t like the guy, I cant hate him. he was in over his head…all of them At yet at the same time I cannot really blame any external forces…because there aren’t any. Which is sort of the genius of School Days. It’s brilliant in it’s way to shift around the blame for what happened. As for my opinion of the show in general…you can always read my review, if you haven’t already =D .
