365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 7/365 Pépé

Day 7/365

Pépé

From the anime movies Nasu: Summer in Andalusia and Nasu: Suitcase no Wataridori, Pépé is a completive cycler that takes part in many races around the world. Through rain or blistering heat, Pépé will get to that finish line no matter what!

Why I like him: He's super determined. He has lots of things going on in his life outside of cycling that end up effecting his racing but he still gets the job done even if all odds are against him. Some people may call this cliche and boring but the way these movies pulled off Pépé's character was refreshing and really well done.

Why I hate him: I don't have a reason to hate him... He's super awesome. Who can hate that ass of his.

Overall: If you haven't seen these movies yet I highly urge you to. Pépé is an amazing character and made me feel like I could do anything if I just tried hard enough. He's  very motivating and charming in a way. His hometowns specialty pickled eggplants are sure to get a smile out of any food lovers out there.

Pépé and his teammates from the second movie, Suitcase no Wataridori, with of course, those pickled eggplants!
