365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 33/365 Lavi
Day 33/365
From the anime D.Gray-man, Lavi is an Exorcist that is training to become a Bookman, which is a person who records the hidden history of the world from a neutral view. His anti-akuma weapon is called Tettsui. It is a hammer that he can control at will making it large or small when needed.
Why I like him: Fun and loving. He takes his job as a Bookman very seriously, yet eventually because he becomes closer to certain members of the Black Order he begins to question if he can just sit and watch instead of fight along side them.
Why I hate him: His flip flop attitude to if he wants to fight or sit and watch gets a little irritating at times because he's generally a giant jerk about it.
Overall: I like the idea of traveling around just watching history take place solely for the purpose to record it for future use. It's amazing how these Bookmen can just stand by and watch some of the most terrible things occur. Lavi enjoys that type of work yet he is too social to be able to keep with it in a non-biased way.

Even though D.Gray Man was the most painful anime I ever trudged through for 40 episodes before finally giving up, Lavi wasn’t a bad character, but the best character was clearly Road Kamelot. She was just awesome. I wonder if she died…..I hope not.
