365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 54/365 Medicine Seller

Day 54/365

Medicine Seller

From the anime Mononoke, Medicine Seller is simply that. Everything else about him is unknown, name, age,  where he comes from who knows! His one goal it seems is to slay mononoke, which are spirits that linger on in the human world. He carries a mysterious talking sword known as the Sword of Exorcism but he can only use it when he knows the mononoke's spirit shape.

Why I like him: Calm and cool he knows exactly what to do in a very scary situation where most people would proabbly faint. Fighting mononoke is hard stuff!

Why I hate him: We never learn more about him and I really wanted to know more. He's very interesting.

Overall: Mr. Medicine Seller has wisdom for everyone. He is very clever being able to figure out the spirit shape's of a mononoke. Truth, form, and regret are all reasons that mononoke linger on in the human world after passing away.

365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 53/365 Mao Nome

Day 53/365

Mao Nome

From the anime Macross Zero, Mao Nome is an excitable energetic young girl. While her older sister Sara is the complete opposite. They live on a secluded island named Maya which is completely populated by the Mayan people.

Why I like her: She's a fun loving and super happy girl. When Shin arrives she instantly forms a crush on him that was super cute.

Why I hate her: While I completely understand the bickering sisters do having one myself, I hated watching the two of them go at it over very trivial things.

Overall: Oddly enough she makes me think of my own sister and I being more like Sara. It was refreshing to see a relationship in anime that I could relate so much too.

365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 52/365 Piccolo

Day 52/365

Piccolo

From the anime Dragon Ball, Piccolo is part of an alien race called the Namekians. He starts off as a bad guy but end up befriending Goku and joining sides with him to fight the Saiyan warriors. He even goes as far as training Goku's son Gohan so he can help with the fight.

Why I like him: He's the big green mean machine yet oh so lovable. He continually fights against anything friend or foe. He has endless unique powers and abilities including regeneration and telepathy.

Why I hate him: He's cocky as hell confident in his abilities to the point that brings misfortune upon himself.

Overall: Piccolo is a unique character that starts off bad then switches sides. Sure a lot of other anime have done this before but Piccolo will always be the ultimate awesome character that did it for me. It was a pleasure running home from school everyday to catch the latest episode of Dragon Ball.

365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 51/365 Jura Basil Elden

Day 51/365

Jura Basil Elden

From the anime Vandread, Jura Basil Elden is the squadron sub-commander for the Dread fighting force. She pilots the Dread "Vandread Jura" which looks like a crab when merged with Hibiki's Vanguard. She has strong feelings for Barnette.

Why I like her: She's fun and playful and always talks about having a baby. She has big boobs too... I think I have a thing for *good* big boobed characters. :P

Why I hate her: She is a spoiled brat at times and needed a good smacking around because of her attitude.

Overall: Jura is by far one of the funniest characters in Vandread in my opinion. Her antics always keep the others on their toes when she's around. When she puts her mind to it she packs a pretty hard punch fighting wise as well yet she almost never lives up to her full potential because of how sheltered she is.

365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 50/365 Genma Saotome

Day 50/365

Genma Saotome

From the anime Ranma 1/2, Genma Saotome is Ranma's father and also has a cures upon him. But instead of turning into a girl like is Ranma does, he turns into a panda bear when he comes into contact with cold water. He is the head of the Saotome Dojo named "Anything Goes Martial Arts".

Why I like him: He is always training Ranma to be an awesome fighter. Taking him on trips and randomly attacking him to make sure he is always on guard. He always turns into a panda when he doesn't wish to speak to others and commonly communicates with cute little wooden signs when in panda form.

Why I hate him: Despite how hilarious his panda form is, always using it to hide from people was a cowardly way out of dealing with his problems. Mainly his wife. XD

Overall: Panda situation aside, Genma is an awesome father. Maybe even with the panda issue that makes him all the more awesome. This anime was one of my first I ever watched and I think it's time for a re-watch really soon.
