From the anime Serial Experiments Lain, Mika Iwakura is Lain's older sister. She is 16 years old, goes to school, and leads a pretty normal life despite the quirks of her family.
Why I like her: If I were to pick a VERY realistic anime character to compare myself to, Mika would be it. How she acts is pretty much how I was when I was that age.
Why I hate her: She could have been explored a little more.
Overall: Mika is seen as the only "normal" person in this anime even though she clearly has her own problems as time goes on.

Oh yes Lain’s sister. The character that falls off the earth…Really while watching this show I often would wonder…wait where’s the sister again? Anyway I think Lain’s father is pretty normal too. He’s just a workaholic, although he does love his daughters. Now Lain’s MOTHER, she’s a weirdo. And an uncaring little creep. She freaked me out, because any mother who acts like her is just weird. I could really relate to lain’s dad though. He was a cool dude. No offense But I really didn’t dig Lain’s sister. She was an interesting character, but could get on my nerves. I like Lain, her father (of course) Alice. )
This is a great series. one I have to re-watch. But it’s so hard to get into again…Once I do I know I’ll love it all again.

I can’t even count the times I’ve watched Lain. Pretty sure it’s at the very least 6 could be more. I love finding new things even after seeing it that many times

I only saw it two times. Once many many years ago when it was newish here, and then again a few years ago. It’s so hard to get back into it, although it’s an excellent series. I really have to get into the mood for this one. Anyway, Alice, lain, and Lain’s dad for the win! =D .
