From the anime Spice and Wolf, Kraft Lawrence is a 25 year old man who travels around buying and selling various things in order to make a living. He hopes to make enough money in order to open up a shop of his own. One day he meets Holo, who is a wolf harvest deity, and from then on they become traveling companions.
Why I like him: Smart and clever he can always think of a way to get the best deal. He doesn't let Holo get away with her tantrums either which was key to my enjoyment. He is a very "real" character.
Why I hate him: I don't. He knows what he wants to do and does it.
Overall: This slow paced fantasy with hints of romance didn't bore me thanks to Lawrence. He could always stand up to Holo unlike most male leads in many other romance anime.

Sometimes I don’t know what the hell he is smoking with his crazy plans, but his relationship with Holo is super entertaining. I love them.

I think Kabitzin said it best when he said all of Lawrence’s plans are just crappy get rich quick schemes. Still fun guy.
