From the anime Kara no Kyoukai - The Garden of Sinners, Shiki Ryougi is a girl, who possesses the "Mystic Eyes of Death Perception". This is a supernatural ability that allows her to see the inherent mortality of everything in the form of lines through her eyes. This allows her to cut the lines causing instant death. She was in a traffic accident that caused her 2 personalities to split up. She assumes her other self has died.
Why I like her: She is amazingly powerful. Her eyes are gorgeous and help her finish her tasks off. I enjoyed her inner struggle to figure herself out. I enjoy her use of knives.
Why I hate her: The way she was with Mikiya was highly irritating to me. Even when she was nice around him she was cold as ice.
Overall: Shiki is a wonderful mysterious complex character.

YES YES YES. Shiki is COMPLEX. Couldn’t put it better myself. I only recently watched this show, and it was awesome.
