From the anime Ninja Scroll, Jubei Kibagami after breaking ties with his old Ninja team, he becomes a wandering swordsman for hire. Jubei comes across Kagero in his wanderings whom is on an important mission. She happens to be in a little bit of trouble and Jubei helps her out of the situation. From there on he is tossed into a web of government and clan feuds that he wants absolutely nothing to do with. If he doesn't stop the coming of this evil no one can.

Why I like him: He's calm and cool. Handy on his feet and not bad with a sword. He's very much a manly man yet has a tender side to him that cares about what happens to others around him even if he tries to make it out like he doesn't care.

Why I hate him: Scroll over for ***SPOILER*** He didn't have sex with Kagero to cure the poison and gave her a kiss instead. XD

Overall: Ninja Scroll is my second favourite movie of all the anime movies I've seen. It's probably for nostalgia reasons because it was one of the first anime movies I watched, but it's still really really good. It's a classic that everyone should see even if they don't like epic tales of ninja's. Here's a mellow and fun AMV that fits Jubei very well. There may be spoilers so watch at your own risk.
