From the anime Strike Witches, Mio Sakamoto is a 19 year old Strike Witch. She was the very first Strike Witch and is the sub-commander of the unit. She is known as the Squadron Leader because of her seniority as an experienced veteran of fighting against the Neuroi. Under her eye patch is a magic eye that makes it easier for her to spot Neuroi. She carries a type 99 aircraft cannon into a battle along with a magical katana. She can kick some serious ass.
Why I like her: She is the toughest and most mature of the Strike Witches. She trains everyone with a iron fist yet is gentile when she needs to be. I liked that each of the girls had a fitting animal feature when equipped with their Striker's. Mio has Doberman ears and tail when she has her Striker on which clearly shows her dominance.
Why I hate her: I HATE characters with eye patches. >.<
Overall: I was dreading watching this show because honestly I thought I wouldn't like it and everyone told me I wouldn't like it. I liked it and am waiting for season 2 eagerly. GO Mio!

You know what, chii? I’m going to go ahead and back you up on the eyepatch thing. Don’t like them at all. Disfigurement has never really been something I look for in a character.

@Eric it’s not amazing but it’s not as terrible as people made it out to be. if you go into it with the lol mindset i think that is best. best thing is to NOT take it seriously at all.

I’ve always hated how she has cropped ears when transformed, instead of natural doberman ears. What motherfucker chopped off part of her ears while she was still a baby? Is this anime promoting female ablation?
