Alita AKA Gally
From the anime Battle Angel Alita, Alita AKA Gally is a cyborg with amnesia. She was found in The Scrapyard by Daisuke Ido and he restores her back into working condition. From there on she lives on to discover her hidden past.
Why I like her: She fights and fights and fights. She's not sure why always either but she knows she must in order to understand herself and those around her. This is a little weird I will admit but there's something very admirable about it too.
Why I hate her: No way.
Overall: One of the first and best manga I have ever read. I still haven't read Last Order yet but I plan on it as soon as I can afford it. The ova seriously needs to be remade into a series or something.

I agree on your evaluation of the manga. It’s good. Last Order is getting close to better (the fights are certainly better, that’s for sure, and I think you’d like Sechs).

I only recently got the chance to watch this OVAAnd I must say, it completely deserves its reputation. It’s a true classic, everyone should see if they get a chance. While it didn’t make it to my favorites list or anything, it’s still a top notch story, with a few little flaws here and there. It’s quite emotional too, for such a short series. Plus it has a great re-watch value.As for the character of Alita, I liked her a lot. She’s a cool person, and seemed to be one of the few characters who understood what happiness really was. Sadly I have yet to read the manga, but everyone speaks so highly of it so I’ll have to give it a read one day. Nice post!
