From the anime Rainbow: Nisha Rokubou no Shichinin, Mario Minakami is one of the six new delinquent boys brought to the Shounan Special Reform School. He was sentenced after inflicting life-threatening injuries to one of his teachers when he discovered the man attempting to rape a female student. Once inside this Reform School he learns of the terrors that lay inside and learns the true value of friendship. He has a great passion for boxing.
Why I like him: He is willing to do anything possible to save or help his new friends out. He goes through many painful times because of this sadly. Scroll over for ***SPOILER*** I like that once out he became a bartender. It oddly seems like a good job for him since his hand was smashed so bad he can't box anymore. Even though I saw it coming, I liked that he fell in love with Setsuko after Sakuragi passed away. I like that he didn't get her in the end but that he had the courage to at least try.
Why I hate him: Sometimes it just felt like he was too nice... In the last few episodes it was almost to much to handle.
Overall: This show started off being carried by Sakuragi but turned into being carried by Mario by the end. Their stories will touch your heart in ways you probably never knew were possible. The OP while annoying at first because of the crazy scream in the beginning grows on you as you keep watching the series. It makes me think of hope.
From the anime Giant Killing, Takeshi Tatsumi is a former East Tokyo United (ETU) star and member of the Japan national soccer (football in Europe) team. After retirement he becomes a very well knows coach in England and is convinced to come back to Japan to coach their team that was once great but now sucks.
Why I like him: The way he thinks was always interesting to see play out. He is really great at motivating his players.
Why I hate him: Nope.
Overall: For not caring about the sport at all, it was highly entertaining. The OP and ED are ones I'll always remember because they are so different.
From the anime Heroman, Lina Davis is Will's little sister. She is very good friends with Joey and goes to school with him. She comes from a very rich family that doesn't approve of her liking Joey because he is poor. Her hobby at school is being a cheerleader.
Why I like her: She makes me think of an amazon lady because she is SO HUGE and looks like she could kick some ass with her huge legs.
Why I hate her: Annoying attitude.
Overall: I'm not sure how I watched all of this show....
From the anime Detective Conan, Ran Mouri AKA Rachel Moore in the English version is Shinichi Kudo best friend since elementary school and is very skilled in martial arts and is the captain of her karate team at school. She has a very close relationship with Shinichi but neither will admit it to each other. She spends a lot of her time looking after Conan and her father who get into all sorts of trouble with the cases they take on.
Why I like her: She's a super classy lady and has many skills which come in handy for her super exciting life. I enjoy the love she carries for all around her especially Conan, her father, and of course Shinichi.
Why I hate her: TELL HIM DAMNIT!
Overall: I can't wait to keep going with this series. I am so in love with it. Sure the mysteries aren't so interesting all the time but the plot episodes are the best.
From the anime Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru, Takashiro Giou is the head of the Giou clan and claims to be Yuki's older half-brother. He ends up hiding something very important from the rest of the Zweilt Guardians and Yuki as well.
Why I like him: His voice. So yummy. <3 Koyasu Takehito. I do feel that his character was the most fleshed out of the series. Also the most interesting where everyone else was super boring.
Why I hate him: Meh, there wasn't much to hate about him. He was just kinda there. Maybe his arrogance, but that was kinda what was awesome about him too.
Overall: I really hate these kind of "yaoi" series that just play up the bishies and don't really do anything...
