HO HO HO!

It's that time of year again! Anime bloggers all around will be participating in the fun 12 Days of Christmas project where we remember 12 things that inspired us greatly over the last year. This will be my 3rd year taking part in this so I plan on following the format I did last year inspired by the awesome Desu ex Machina whom gives us those wonderful Anime Power Rankings posts each week so check those out! I've already thought up all my ideas for the 12 Days of Christmas project because while my wrist is still quite painful to use I just couldn't not participate this year since I feel that this is one of those fun things that I started off with when I first started blogging 2 years ago. ^__^ So I figured if I start writing them early enough I should be able to get them done on time and not injure my wrist further. Look forward to them starting on December 14th going straight till the 25th!

Next we have Reverse Thieves doing their Secret Santa Project again this year. Third year running to my knowledge. I was very new the first year so had no idea about this project (hilariously enough found out about the 12 Days one though ) and last year I didn't notice the initial sign up post until people were tweeting about their choices on twitter. This year I vowed to pay attention around October and sign up! YAY I DID! I got e-mailed my 3 choices from my Secret Santa through the Thieves and was rather disappointed with my choices honestly. 2 were shows I had already seen (which kinda defeats the purpose of writing a review for said anime imo) so I was really only left with one choice. Glass Mask will be watched (urg...) and 2 reviews will be coming out starting on the 24th (1984 version) and the 25th (2005 version) which was the actual pick of my Secret Santa. I might do a post on the OVA that came out in 1998 as a Snack of the Week post but we'll see if it can be watched without knowing anything else about the series.

Anime-Planet is also hosting a fun Secret Santa this year that I have decided to join. I don't know if I'll bother posting about it on here because I dunno when we have to watch our anime by, but if it's something I can manage I certainly will put up a review of the lucky anime I get. Others should join too if they have AP accounts! ^__^

Always wanting to give more and more to my blog readers, (I've kinda slacked this year posting wise I think...) I've decided to give the Not so Secret Santa Project a go again this year. YAY more review goodness! I asked on my Formspring a simple question to all: "Is there an anime I haven't see that you really think I should watch ASAP? Watched List <- for your convenience ", and I received many wonderful responses! So I'll be taking some of the answers from there along with a special one that started a pretty fun twitter conversation. Who and which anime they have chosen will be a secret until I start publishing the reviews yet again this year. I bet most have forgotten that they gave these suggestions to me so hopefully they will be surprised. The reviews will start on December 19th and run straight till the 25th.

And because I like the end of year tradition I started when I first started up this blog, I shall once again be doing a review of all anime that aired this year in 4 separate seasonal posts starting on the 28th and ending on the 31st.

Seriously though I'm also looking forward to a grand total of 5 other anime that will be airing. Another (Looks interesting), Brave10 (Could be good), Daily Lives of High School Boys (Because I'll need something to fill the Kimi to Boku void),  Mouretsu Pirates (Fuck yeah!), and Season 4 of Natsume Yuujinchou!

There's also an awesome OVA adaptation of one of my all time favourite manga coming out sometime in February (hopefully) called Gyo. It kicks ass and everyone should be excited for it. GASHUNK!

I was going to do a much larger post for this but I have injured my wrist and shouldn't even be typing this. I hope it gets better soon so I'll be putting everything on hold blog wise for a bit longer to let my wrist heal as quickly as possible. I wanted to start the Toriko episodic posts up again next week but that again will have to be pushed back till I'm better and of course the Chibi Devi! posts will be on hold as well.

I will mention, (since I made people take a look at this post anyway) that I'll be bringing back my "365 Days" project next year! This time it's going to be titled: 366 Days of Anime School Uniforms 2012. 366 because next year is a leap year! I haven't fully thought out much of how these posts will take form yet but you can be sure that they will be fun and hopefully interesting. I've already created a few charts of anime school uniforms and I'll be showing those for every 30 uniforms that pass throughout the year in a sum up post.

8 anime made it to the super looking forward to and will watch. Hilariously only 2 of those titles aren't season 2's and of course they both happen to be the noitaminA titles Un-Go and Guilty Crown. The only 2 season 2's I don't give a crap about are Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi (lol yaoi) and Shana III (lol tsundere). I'm currently trying to watch Shana Season 1 and it's not going so well enjoyment wise so who knows if I'll even get it watched by the time III starts. I find it rather amazing that Shana is the only show I have to watch to catch up with what's airing. Generally I got 2-3 titles to do that for when Spring and Fall roll around but only 1 is just a little shocking for me.

The one anime I'm most pumped up about is Hunter X Hunter. I love the original series and always hoped that they would make more.  I really can't wait for it! I dunno what I'll do if it disappoints me.

Gundam Age has been getting a lot of flack but I still think it'll be enjoyable. I gotta watch it anyway cause then I wouldn't be able to say I've watched ALL gundam titles! (Somehow I made it through all of SEED) Still waiting on more awesome Gundam Unicorn. An episode of that should be out pretty soon.

Ben-To has me interested for the silly factor. I don't really know what to expect but I do expect to laugh! It's probably the silliest anime I'm looking forward to this fall. I do hope that Kimi to Boku proves to be entertaining and not some kind of Ouran knock off without a reverse harem. Hori­zon on the Middle of Nowhere I hope it wow's me. I just want something that I think might be trash to actually be good.

I really hope that Last Exile and the new Fate/Zero do not disappoint me. I probably could live with Fate making me sad but if Last Exile is crap... I dunno...

I'll be interested in how Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai AKA "I got me no Friends "will do. There's a fair bit of hype about it but I'm still not so comfortable with it personally. Something about it just screams run away to me. Kinda like how Tamayura does along with those other few red highlighted titles...

I won't be blogging any of these but I might start that strange Busou Shinki Moon Angel soon because it's got 5 minutes episodes but I haven't decided on that yet. I've been doing pretty good with the Nyanpire posts so if that keeps going I plan on keeping up! I'm totally going to re-start blogging TORIKO as it's a shame I had to stop. It'll be fun catching up with it because GUTS GUTS GUTS is awesome!

I've been hosting these events over on Anime-Planet for a whole year now and I gotta say it's been a blast. If you haven't checked out Anime-Planet in general you should as it is always growing! It's a great place to keep all your watched, watching, etc anime in check so you always know what you are doing with each show you watch. You can love and hate anime characters and even voice actors. New features and improvements are added pretty often and it generally doesn't take that long for a minor request to be filled. The newest feature is anime badges which are similar to X-box ones that you can unlock with certain anime that are watched or other random accomplishments. Tis all very fun stuff and more of those are going to be added soon. If you are the winner of this event you'll even win one!

I spent my new years eve countdown in a house with lots of friends somewhere in Vermont. We stayed there for 5 days and had a lot of fun. While there I didn't think about anime or blogging very much and I have now returned ready to face the new year with some fun goals. I have some personal goals in here again along with my lovely anime blogging ones. Last year I did this as well and I'm happy to say I pretty much have completed everything on the Anime side of the goals list. I do still have Gundam Seed and Chrono Crusade to finish off but they are slow watches because I've been buddy group watching them. The only goal I flat out failed was reading manga that wasn't just One Shots. It's really hard for me to sit down and read I guess which is hilarious considering watching anime is basically reading!

One thing I would like to talk about while I got your attention is my 365 Days of Anime Characters posts. They are complete now and I seriously had a lot of fun doing it. I hope everyone had fun reading them even if I choose a character from a show you haven't seen. The goal was to make some lesser known series more known or to at least have people say to me "I'm gonna check this out, thanks!" I got quite a few of those responses which pleased me very much. I won't be continuing this project this year but I might bring it back again in 2012 or later. (Don't hold me to that though haha.) So instead, in the next week or so I'll be starting a new series that will be only once a week. I don't have a name for this project yet but it'll probably be along the lines of chii's Movie Pick or something like that. So look forward to it. If you have a movie suggestion leave a comment and I'll add it to my list! Once again, THANK YOU for reading the Anime Character Series!

1. Read more manga (not just one shots)
2. Watch all anime that starts airing in 2011 (some exceptions apply)
3. Watch the titles I have not seen on Digiboy's top 100 list
4. Watch the straggler anime I still haven't finished from 2009 to present
5. Make more crazy top whatever anime lists
6. Instead of just reading everyones blog posts actually comment on them more
7. Attack Shinmaru and Prede's Anime-Planet lists and watch all that they have that I haven't
8. Watch those really popular shows I have been putting off for some reason
9. Pick ONE show from each season and episodically blog it (hopefully keep it to 12-13 episodes)

I didn't include any OVA's, specials or any of that stuff. I honestly don't understand why people get so excited about those series as much as they do. The air dates are so random/spread apart that it's hard to care a lot about them until they are completely finished and actually available. That just might be my point of view on the matter though... I really don't like waiting around for episode 2 to come out 6+++ months later...

I also skipped out on 2 kiddy shows (Cardfight Vanguard and Usagigoya) that are at the bottom of the original chart. No one really cares about those 2 anime anyway. 11 out of 20 anime in this list are ones I'm looking forward so that'll be fun. Sad that 9 of those don't look so good to me but I'm sure one or 2 among those titles will shine through to enjoyment for me.

The 2 anime I'm most looking forward to are Level E and Wolverine. I hope they live up to what I want them to. Ironman didn't disappoint me so I don't think Wolverine will either.

The anime I facepalm at the most that will be airing is Oniichan no Koto Nanka Zenzen Suki Janain Dakara ne AKA I Don't Like You at All, Big Brother! It feels like they are trying to take Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai AKA My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute (long titles are long...) and turn it into incest... Which to be honest is what a lot of people want from OreNo Imouto... We'll see if it holds out though. I don't have high hopes for it at all.

It's that time of year again! Bloggers are called to gather and remember some awesome anime moments that they have experienced throughout the year and sum it up in 12 awesome posts. Last year I did some "Romance Gushy Moments" because I was new at the whole blog thing and didn't quite get what was going on, but it looked fun! This year I've decided to take a look at a few things from this year that I have experienced along with some fun favourite stuff. I'm going to follow Desu ex Machina's way from last year and actually use the song lyrics in my post titles. I thought that was an extra cute touch. Look forward to it starting on December 14th of next week, going straight till the 25th!

Christmas blog presents!

Reverse Thieves will be again doing their Secret Santa Project this year. It's been in the planning since October and for some reason I never noticed in time till the very end when everyone actually started talking a lot about it, so I'm not actually part of this particular project. I will however, be doing something fun that I have named Not so Secret Santa. During late November I picked 7 blog buddies of mine to pick one series each that they thought I should have watched by now. My only restriction on this was it had to be a 12-26 episode series and have no related series attached to it. Who and which anime they have chosen will be a secret until I start publishing the reviews. They will start on December 19th and run straight till the 25th. So far these titles have given me much fun while watching and I can't wait to get these fun reviews out there. ^_^ Look forward to them!

Oh and one more little extra bit of news here. I'll once again be doing 4 posts starting on the 28th reviewing all the past 2010 anime by which season they aired in. I had a lot of fun doing that last year and I know it'll be even more fun this year!

No more being a Slowpoke

I'm going to start attempting a regular schedule for getting into better shape starting next week. I figure I'll start off with 2 or 3 days a week in the beginning and hopefully I'll be able to start doing more days after a while. Why is this called "Pokemon Workout" you are asking at this point I'm sure. Well the goal is to watch one or 2 episodes of Pokemon while working out. Why not mix what I love watching with actually making me a little more fit? I will be posting after each workout about 1 or 2 Pokemon episodes along with my getting fit thoughts and what I feel my progress is like. I will not be posting any weird videos like this or images of me actually working out. XD I'm going to start off with the very first Pokemon series. I look at this as trying to get back to those younger years.

Don't wanna turn into a Jigglypuff

I've made this little starters list that I'll be following at first. I hope to be adding more "challenges" to this as I progress to see what works and what doesn't.

Workout Plan

"Fun" challenges:

Push ups or curl ups during the opening and ending credits.
Jumping jacks when team rocket appears and they say their catch phrase.
At the halfway point while "guess that Pokemon" is happening speed up whatever doing at the time.

Main exercises during the first half and second half of show:

- Ride bike
- Arm/ leg weight training / planks
- Special stretching that I learned from my physiotherapist to not hurt my back
- Ball exercises

The above main exercises are made for 2 Pokemon episodes in a row. It will most likely just be one at first so I'll pick and choose which I feel like doing. I do hope to get it up to a whole hour at some point but baby steps first for me.

Going to get energetic like Pikachu!

Fitness is always on a person's mind that sits behind a computer. Office workers especially are always looking for ways to keep them from turning chubby. So after being basically stuck doing nothing for about 3+ years now due to my decline in health, I do not wish to turn into a fat blob at all. I'm no where near being overweight but I don't want to get there either. With this I hope to prevent what happens to most of us with little activity and keep the pounds from creeping higher and higher till it's too late. Even though it's never too late to start loosing weight and get back into shape!

I suppose we can call this a tad inspired by Training with Hinako, although I won't need to watch her on the screen each time I do my workouts. I think cute little Pokemon will do the trick nicely for me instead of bouncing boobies. Even the cute Wakey Wakey Exercise that Sumomo does, I think is just a little too annoying for me.

Sometimes I wonder why they haven't started talking to me too...

Also since I've got people here, starting next week I'm going to be doing a series of posts every Tuesday called "Tuesday Tally". Since I watch a lot of anime I thought it would be fun to keep a list around for a while to see just how much I've actually watched in a week going by each day. I'll be keeping a list over on my small blog on AnimePlanet and at the end of each week I will post a bigger one over here with more thoughts and reaction to what I have viewed. Thinking about adding a "Manga Monday" or maybe more suited to me a "Movie Monday". I'm still debating over which project to start for that.

If anyone has any suggestions out there for workout tips, I'm all ears. ^_^ Pokemon Workout here I come!

I still never wrote a bunch up in advance to post up so I'm still doing these each and every day. They are still very random as well. Generally goes in par with that I've watched recently or what I've noticed others chirping about on twitter. After spring and summer anime finished airing I'd do a character from every show that ended as soon as possible. I went through all the Macross titles and a lot of Gundam ones so far and I'd be sure to post a favourite or hated character from each show in their franchise after viewing. To be honest though, all my macross characters are love. <3

I decided to try character theme weeks, in which I would pick something random and find anime that meet these demands. The first one I did was anime music videos, which were official ones done and released by anime companies. I kicked it off with Clamp and ended it with Daft Punk. I got 2 comments on the Clamp post a whole month later and no comments on the rest. I almost didn't want to do another themed week again after that but ended up doing 3 more. Robots, Androids, and Cyborgs week where I actually wrote 3 of these posts in advance because I took a trip down to Boston. This is the only time I wrote any posts in advance so far. Then I did anime made from RPG's and VN's followed right afterwards. VN week was fun because I got to show case some Key hate. I love hating on Key Although to be fair I did talk about the ONE Key character that I actually do "like" from the one Key anime I can tolerate. This one is funny to me because most people considered it to be the worst one of all their works. Guess I just LOVE being different from the group!

How does Murasaki not have any comments?!

Keeping along with themes I did some nice posts for Mother's Day and Father's Day picking out the best anime characters that represent mom's and dad's to me. Even though I had already done a character from Hetalia back when it was the Chinese New Year, I couldn't just not have some Hetalia characters for good old Canada Day and Independence Day for the Americans. Hetalia is the only show I have repeated characters from but I think national holidays were a good cause to do so. I'm kind of shocked that no one really mentioned that I repeated a series XD and I'm a little sad that no one wished me a Happy Canada Day since I'm Canadian

The lack of wishing someone a Happy [whatever] Day doesn't just stop at national holidays though. I had 2 guest posts on each of these guys special days. That's right Birthday posts! I got 2 birthday wishes on my Anime Birthday post and my boyfriend got one on his post. I'm sad to say that my other guest post got no comments at all.

Lately I've been on an obscure anime roll because I just came off watching a lot of older movies and ova's I hadn't gotten around to. I like doing things that aren't so popular because if I can make just one person take an interest in any show, I feel that this project has been a success.

Angel Densetsu is one of the best ova's I've watched in a while. So glad I got my hands on it finally since I had been looking forward to it for quite some time.

If anyone has a request for one of the last 65 spots to be a certain character, please leave a comment and hopefully I'll be able to do it. The only restrictions I have on this is the character can't be from an anime I have already done and I have to have actually seen the anime myself. If I haven't seen an anime for a character you would like to request tell me about it in your comment and if it isn't too long I'll watch it and do your character! (har har har)

Kakugo Hagakure wasn't a requested character but SO many people had been talking about him that week that I just had to pay tribute to him.
