365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 346/365 Dominic Sorel

Day 346/365

Dominic Sorel

From the anime Eureka Seven, Dominic Sorel is the youngest Lieutenant soldier of the United Federation of Predgio Towers. He serves under Dewey and does anything he is ordered to. He is assigned to tend to Anemone and monitor her physical and mental condition.

Why I like him: He understands that since he is so young men that are way older than him would have issues actually following his orders. He doesn't get frustrated because of this which is awesome. I love how his interactions with Anemone always turned out since she's quite a brutal chick. His love for her was quite fun to watch as well since she is so crazy and doesn't get it.

Why I hate him: He was one of the few characters I enjoyed in the series completely.

Overall: I've heard that the manga has a different twist on his character so I think I'll check that out at some point.

One of my favourite pictures of Anemone and Dominic.

My Top 60 Series of the Decade 2000-2009

The third and last installment of my decades list brings us to the Series of 2000-2009. The Series were very difficult to choose from and it was very hard to even pick an order (Don't take the ordering of these series to seriously) let alone limit it to a top 50. So I did 60 instead! XD

Lots of other bloggers have already put up their lists and you can find them all listed over on Kitsune's page. Check them out! There's a lot of great lists to be had for all those list crazy people! Also don't forget to check out my OVA's list and the Movies list if you missed them. Digitalboy created an ultimate top decade list that everyone should definitely check out if they haven't already. Add titles that you think are missing from this huge list.

Time to look at my top 60 series of the decade!

Day 10 of The 12 Days of Christmas

Crazy good, crazy bad.

Tenth up for The 12 Days of Christmas: romance moments is Eureka Seven. These 12 Days of Christmas posts aren't in any particular order. I just choose moments that actually made me feel all warm and squishy inside. Be sure to check out animemiz’s scribbling's and Desu ex Machina's and Memories of Eternity and Unmei Kaihen's blogs for more 12 Days posts! Oh and there might be spoilers about so read at your own risk. For the most part though I think I’ve kept things as spoiler free as possible. :)

Now I liked this anime but not as much as everyone else. I found most of it annoying in general. The characters irritated me like crazy with their endless whining. Yeah I know they are kids but gees suck it up... >.< At least the gained maturity at the end of the show among pretty much all of the characters made the show worthwhile to sit through.

Who? Dominic and Anemone

Dominic and Anemone

Anemone and Dominic

Why they are adorable: She was a crazy bitch throughout the anime to him. Up till the end at least. He stayed by her side no matter what craziness she put him through. Sure unrequited love is cute but only for so long. You saw that he clearly cared for her more than she did for him at first.

Cummings and Liang from Canaan.

With the recent watching of Canaan right after watching Eureka Seven. It made me appreciate the love a man can have for a crazy lady even if she has no idea till the "end" that he truly is the only one to care for her in the world. Everyone else is just using her. Maybe I just have a thing for seriously good stories that involve unrequited love.
