2000 Watched, So Lets Remember My Anime Firsts
After viewing my 2000th anime being Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Spiral Labyrinth, (a few weeks ago) I happened to come across My anime firsts post over on Mainichi Anime Yume. Very inspired I took the list from there and added some of my own questions. I started thinking right away about what my first were simply because of that post and my chiropractor whom that very night asked me what I did for a living. Not having a job in general I just said "I blog" which of course let to the question "Oh? What about?". I Had to tell him about anime and of course he had no clue what I was really talking about but he then asked "What got you into watching anime?". This question got me thinking all over again about my anime journey in life because I couldn't really come up with anything else other than I had just grown up with it. Remembering these anime is half the fun of these following questions!
Anywho, with that in mind I give you all my anime first that I can remember!
First Anime Watched (English)
This is a toss up since when I was a little kid Fables of the Green Forest & Maya the Bee were shown on TV. So without fully knowing that I was watching anime I had started. The one I was fully aware that it was an anime would have to be Dragon Ball and then of course Sailor Moon.
First Non-Kids Anime
Dominion Tank Police on late night TV. It blew my mind on how awesome it was.
First Anime song Heard (TV size in Japanese)
I would say that Gundam Wing is the winner here.
First Anime song Heard (full version) and First Anime (Japanese with subs)
I first watched Escaflowne on TV so I heard it's "special" English OP only at first. Then my best friend told me that I absolutely had to re-watch the series in Japanese. I wasn't so sure at first why but then he showed me the full version of the actual OP for it and I was sold.
First Anime Obsession
Sailor Moon I'd have to say. I was so tsundere for it at first too which makes it all the more hilarious to me. When Macross Plus came out the obsession moved onto that. Followed quickly by Gundam Wing.
First Anime Franchise-based Movie
Patlabor: The Movie and it ended up hooking me on awesome mecha series ever since.
First Anime Original Movie
Ninja Scroll. <3 Never gets old.
First Character Obsession (Male/Female)
Blue Saphir AKA Sapphire from Sailor Moon for my male obsession hands down. He was part of the Black Moon Clan and I can safely say that I was VERY (link contains spoilers) obsessed with his tragic character. For my female obsession it's honestly harder to remember. I suppose it would be Sailor Mercury simply because of what I stated in her character post. I think being obsessed with Myung and her alter ego Sharron was a much better fit for me when Macross Plus came along. Even the next anime obsession Gundam Wing's Relena was a better choice.
First Anime That Made Me Cry
Grave of the Fireflies hands down. It is one of only 6 titles that have ever made tears flow from my eyes. Anime for some reason has a really hard time making me cry.
First Product Bought (non-video)
I bought Sailor Moon posters from the dollar store. I still have them and one day when I can put them up on the wall again I shall and it'll be awesome!
First Figure
Figures I suppose. All these little Hetalia ones that my boyfriend bought for me for my birthday in 2010.
First Video Collection (VHS/DVD)
VHS is really fuzzy for me since I don't have any of them anymore and they ended up getting stolen at some point during my many moves. I'm pretty sure Dirty Pair was my first VHS find though. DVD wise like I said here it's either a toss up between Macross Plus or Kite. I just for the life of me can't remember the order.
First Manga Read
Battle Angel Alita because I was dating a guy that was very much into anime and helped me get even more into anime at the time. He had every original volume and I read it every time I went over to visit him haha.
First Manga Bought
Chobits but because she had the same name as ME. My nickname when I was an elementary student was chii cause I had a lot of energy like chi! I just rolled with it ever since.
First Convention
Anime North in 2009. I'm very much a convention noob.
First Hentai
Mine would have to be La Blue Girl... I'm sure a lot of other people share this as their first as well.
First Hentai Manga
Bondage Fairies! Might be better not to ask how this came about
First Fansub
This would probably be Ranma 1/2. It was the first anime I watched with my best friend whom had internet at the time and could get anime for us to watch that wasn't on TV.
First AMV Watched
It's actually really hard to remember this but I think it would have to be this one. I've never had the desire to make one but if I did it would so be for Legend of the Galactic Heroes to Muse's Knights Of Cydonia.
First Fan Fic Written
It was a Macross Plus one I'll admit but I'll NEVER let anyone see it no matter how much you ask
There's even a Gundam Wing one hanging around somewhere too
First Anime Web Site Made
Hilariously enough I only started my blog at the end of 2009 and it is the only anime thing I have ever done online that wasn't part of something already there.
First Anime Blog Visited
Digitalboy's many blogs I have followed since he appeared before me in 2007. He's one of the only people's opinions on anime that I really give a damn about.
First Anime Site Visited
When I was a kid my mom was dead set against having internet in the house (I don't know...) so I didn't really get into the whole internet thing a lot. Quite hilarious that I didn't really start using the internet till 2000 XD Anyway, in 2002 I discovered a little interesting site called Anime-Planet
I didn't join at first cause I didn't understand that you had to join but I lurked around the main site and on the forums for many years. It wasn't till 2005 that I joined and have never looked back. 2005 I would also consider the time where I reintroduced myself to anime after a few years of not watching a lot.
First Anime Dropped
Adventures of Mini-Goddess. I started it with my best friend and thought it sucked a lot. Tried picking it up again later on my own and it still sucked. Tried watching it a few years ago with my boyfriend because we watched all of AMG and he wanted to try it out. Dropped yet again. It was meant to never be watched by me I believe.
First Anime Hated
Green Green wins this title. I disliked it SO much that I couldn't get past episode 3 of the series. Which is ok by me because I know a lot of people that think the same way I do about it.
First Anime Drawing
I only ever drew Sailor Moon pictures because back then I actually loved to draw. My first picture was Luna the cat eating a donut. The second one hilariously is Sailor Mars's Grandpa sticking his tounge out in a YUM kind of way. It seems that strangeness of me still hasn't worn off.
First Cosplay
I dunno if I would count this because I didn't try very hard but last year at Anime Boston I cosplayed (we were on the top floor and it was really hot up there) Yamamoto-sensei and my boyfriend kindly dressed as Tsuchida. They weren't very good but whatever. I really would like to cosplay with a proper costume and all someday but money is a bitch.
Random other fun firsts I remember:
First Long-Running Shonen Series
Of course this would be Dragon Ball. Long before I even knew what a shounen series was. If I went by actually knowing I'd have to say Bleach.
First Mecha Series
Macross Plus. How I love you so.
First Gundam Series
Gundam Wing
First Magical Girl/Shoujo Series
Sailor Moon
First Harem Series
Love Hina. Surprise surprise here lol
First Reverse Harem
Fruits Basket... It was a terrible start into this sub-genre for me.
First Sports Series
Azusa Will Help! I honestly haven't watched a lot of sports anime in general.
First Food Related Series
Yakitate!! Japan. Been hooked on any anime ever since that has anything to do with cooking! Yes that even means the shoujo Yumeiro Pâtissière!
First Series that Messed With My Mind
Lain hands down and then I watched Evangelion now soon after it.
~
So there you have it! Got anymore questions for me? Leave a comment and ask!
Check out this other post that has a whole list of other people's anime firsts as well. ^__^

Tuesday Tally Week 7-8 February 15-28 Finishing Up and Catching Up
I spent most of these 2 weeks catching up with my long running anime and finishing off a lot of big series I had on the go. Added in a lot of movies here and there that I had been wanting to watch for quite some time now and some not so much. *Glares at Gundam Seed*
February 15-18
Gintama episodes 172-175
Z-mind, Project Blue SOS, and maybe Twin Signal OVA's will all be featured in a Snack of the Week post so look out for those.
Puss in Boots Movies 1-3
Overall: A delightful re-watch of the first followed by the other 2. Puss in Boots are great family movies that anyone can enjoy. It helps if you like cats a lot too I suppose.
Kiddy Grade Movies 1-3
Overall: Only really worth watching if you have seen the whole series before hand. Which is exactly what I thought about the Fate/stay night movie. Although if someone just wants some action with a decent enough plot this'll be fine too unlike the Fate/stay night movie where you pretty much have to have knowledge before watching what it's all about. I think I got more out of these movies having seen the series but it did cut out a lot of blaa blaa I found so I almost enjoyed the movies more than the series.
February 19-22
Naruto shipooden episodes 189-199, Bleach episodes 301-309, One Piece episodes 480-487, and Gintama episodes 176-192. Shounen madness! All caught up finally with the big 3 and almost finished Gintama which is my favourite of the 4 easily. Naruto finally got back to some story. One Piece had some crazy shit go down after building it up for like 50 episodes or something (probably less but I can't be bothered to check at this point) Bleach had some kick ass stuff happen with Gin that was way more interesting than anything that has happened with Aizen.
Touch episodes 49-89
King of Thorn Movie
Overall: Better than I expected it to be honestly. I saw the end coming a mile away but I was interested in this world so that kept me watching. I might pick up the manga someday because I hear that people liked it more than the movie but we'll see. We all know how I am at this point with picking up manga XD I really loved how it looked. I watched it right after Welcome to the Space Show so I wasn't expecting anything just as awesome visually as that movie was but it works out nicely. Kind of made me want to play Resident Evil 2 again.
Welcome to the Space Show Movie
Overall: <3 I expected awesome and I got awesome. Rare but it happens sometimes! The visuals were out of this world gorgeous! You know that tingly feeling you get when you are just so excited about what you are seeing because it is SO gosh darn pretty? I got that. The last time I had that feeling was when I watched Gundam 00 on my big tv in the basement. So people wanting some eye candy will not be disappointed with this movie. It's a little confusing plot wise at times especially towards the end but overall it's a really nice story about kids bonding and going TO SPACE. Oh how I would have killed to be one of these kids and go on such a great adventure!
February 23
Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Spiral Labyrinth episodes 1-28
Overall: I wanted to make my 2000th anime special to me much like I did for my 1000th anime. So what better of a choice could I have made than to finally watch one of the extra stories of my favourite anime of all time Legend of the Galactic Heroes. I gotta say I enjoyed the first 14 or so episodes the most since those featured Yang. When the Reinhard episodes came around 2 of his arcs were amazing but one of them was a complete snore fest that involved dueling for the nobles. The last 2 episodes were a link to the main series that made me almost want to re-start it up again and watch it. I will re-watch it eventually but I think my hands are full with the anime I have chosen to watch this year already. So here's to another 2000 anime!
February 24-28
Gintama episodes 193-201
Overall: I'm sad that it is over but so happy that it's coming back in April. I'm rather glad that I marathoned it honestly because waiting for the awesome each week would have sucked. That's the only thing I'm not looking forward to about the next series.
Touch episodes 90-101
Overall: Who would have thought I would enjoy a baseball romance drama! I went in skeptical and came out rewarded and glad I'm not afraid to try new things even though I think they won't be good for me. Solid 8/10.
Touch Movies 1-5
Overall: Movies 1-3 were bad re-caps of the series honestly. I got a lot more out of watching the 101 episodes than those first 3 movies that sum it all up. Movies 4-5 were extra stories that were fun but still left us hanging.
Gundam Seed Movies 1-3
Overall: I kinda wish I just watched these instead of the series...
Astro fighter Sunred episode 50
Zenryoku Usagi episode 42
Here is Greenwood OVA
Overall: I said my piece here.
Wounded Man OVA
Overall: Boobs, sex, and violence.
Fairy Tail episodes 20-67
Overall: I had been meaning to catch up with this for a long time now and since I caught up with all the other shounen I decided to include this one as well. It's a lovely combination of Naruto and One Piece for me honestly. It has the character love I have for One Piece mixed with the music love I have for Naruto. Great friends helping each other out as all go on a wonderful journey to accomplish their goals. Simple but oh so good. I love Happy and Plue!

Tuesday Tally Week 6 February 8-14 Parody, Drama, and Facepalm
Oh what a week. Watched some fun stuff that I had been looking forward too and finished off a lot of series too. Parody anime seems to be taking up a lot of my time these days and I think I've actually found a romance drama that doesn't annoy me in the slightest!
February 8
Miyamoto Musashi Movie
Overall: I actually had no idea what I was getting into with this movie. It is about a samurai warrior that is almost like a biography of him in some strange documentary kind of way. It was interesting but I don't think I'll ever watch it again.
Kemono to Chat OVA
Overall: I love cat humour and I'm so happy that the Japanese like to feature a lot of cat humour in their shows. This one had me crying from laughter over the 30 minutes it is. I almost wish there was more episodes to come but oh well.
Coo: Tooi Umi Kara Kita Coo Movie
Overall: This movie was really long and slow but it was actually rather interesting... As long as you are ok with sea monsters befriended by humans though.
The Little Prince and the Eight-Headed Dragon and Alakazam the Great are 2 more movies I watched but I really don't have much to say about either. They are OLD.
February 9-10
SoulTaker episodes 1-13
Overall: While watching this show I felt the same way while I was watching both Utena and Melody of Oblivion. Both shows use a lot of imagery and a lot of strange things are going on. You fill in the blanks what things could possibly mean. Like the other 2 anime SoulTaker leaves me wondering what I watched and confused as how I feel about them in general. I know I liked the shows but I couldn't really explain why very well either. They are fun and SoulTaker proves to be mysterious in a rather mysterious way. I can see why this is on Digiboy's top 100 list since he eats these kind of shows up like candy.
Gundam Seed episodes 38-42
Paniponi Dash episodes 5-26+OVA
Overall: This is basically on the same level as all those other cute girls doing cute things parody shows for me. Lots of laughs but lots of misses too. In fact I'll say that I found most of it boring but at least it didn't annoy me as much as Lucky Star ended up doing after a while. I've also come to the conclusion that while I do like to laugh my funny bone just happens to be VERY different from the majority when it comes to comedy titles. Yet another worthwhile watch from digiboy's top 100 list. Oh and the ova was the funniest over the entire show. hehe
Level E episodes 3-5
Overall: I swear I'll make a post about this soon... >.>
Loups=Garous Movie
Overall: This movie was BORING. I expected good things but man... No I haven't read the book that this is based on but it's safe to say that the book is probably way better than this crappy movie that took me over 4 hours to watch and I had to restart it 3 times cause I just would stop paying attention. >.< I watched it because I was going to feature it for a snack of the week post but after viewing I just couldn't bring myself to write anything about it.
February 11-12
Magical Chocolate OVA re-watch
Touch episodes 1-42
Overall: Having been created by the same person that made Cross Game I expected to not overly enjoy this older version. Oh how wrong I was! So far this show has been a complete blast and does the drama romance side of the baseball story just fantasticly. The twist that was thrown in around episode 25 was REALLY good but had me wondering just how the show would keep my interest. So far though it's doing a wonderful job and I'm sitting at a 8/10 rating so far. I'm not interested in baseball in the slightest but there's enough romance drama filling the show up nicely that I don't mind sitting through an intence game here and there. I do find it weird that they give the next episode preview before they roll the ED credits. I'm not sure why they decided to do it that way but it keeps me on my toes to skip to the next episode in order not to be spoiled. At first I thought the main girl lead would annoy the crap out of me but she has shown herself to be not all that bad. Has tantrums now and then but that I can deal with. I can't wait to get to finishing off this series!
Zenryoku Usagi episode 41
Gundam Seed episodes 43-45
February 13-14
Gundam Seed episodes 46-50
Overall: Finally finished this shitty show... I REALLY feel bad for making my friend watch this terrible show with me... I was going with the benefit of the doubt when I first started it but sadly that failed. The way it ended just made me rage all the more but it was a very fitting ending considering the SHOW SUCKS BALLS. I won't even go into a lot of details about it since the show is so shitty it doesn't even deserve my rage... (right now) I really have to stop picking favourite characters in shows as they always die... >.< But at least my most hated character was put to rest.
Touch episodes 43-48
Gintama episodes 147-171
Overall: Coming closer and closer to the end only to have it start back up of course! I've actually found that from the beginning of season 4 I haven't been laughing nearly as much as the others have. Only 2 episodes so far got a lot of laughs from me. I'm hoping the best is yet to come though as generally parody comedy shows do start off lighter when they start fresh on a new season.
Gundam Evolve OVA
Overall: It was really fun watching all these shorts especially after viewing Seed I really needed some awesome Gundam to shine through. Episode 7 and 13-15 were my favourite episodes. I really wish this was made after Gundam 00 aired so one of that could have been included somehow. Very fun watch and just might get me ready to watch Destiny sooner than later...
Baldr Force Exe Resolution OVA
Overall: Fun look at a world that is very connected through the internet. I'll feature this for a snack of the week post sometime soon.

Tuesday Tally Week 5 February 1-7 Catch Up
Since I was so behind on all my current anime watching I decided to dedicate my Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to catching up with these titles. Earlier on in the week I watched a lot of shorts I had been meaning to watch for a while now along with tonnes of Gintama.
February 1-4
Gintama episodes 106-146+ both OVA's
Overall: I have come to the conclusion that the episodes revolving around the trannies and bathroom issues are by far my favourite episodes of the entire series. I hope I get a few more before I am finished but I can always look forward to Season 2 airing this spring. I also really enjoy the action packed story arcs. They are SO kick ass and generally have me watching none stop until they are finished. Such amazingly funny characters showing their super serious side to one another is just so special to me. Can't wait to keep going and see what laughs await me.
Jigokudou Reikai Tsuushin OVA
Overall: Fun and random mysterious supernatural ova. The animation was a little out there but it actually seemed fitting to add more mystery to it. There was 3 stories in one that somehow just flowed along like one big story. 45 minutes well spent!
Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Movie 1
Overall: WAY better than the series shitty Season 1. It honestly was a great recap of it because it cut out all the crap and left in all the awesome. I watched Season 1 dubbed too so watching the movie subbed was a much better experience for that. I still love how the magical staff just talks in English and seems like it's the one in charge half the time. Good stuff and I can't wait to watch movie 2 even though it won't be out until 2012.
Paniponi Dash episodes 1-4
Overall: Started this on a whim because I didn't want to watch anything else I had at the moment. I had heard interesting things about it and since it is one of digitalboy's top 100 anime, I just had to check it out. Not much to say about it so far. It's humour is pretty hit and miss and of course it reminds me a lot of Lucky Star due to its weird parodies. I'm not sold on it yet but I'm not running away in fear.
Gundam Seed episodes 26-37
Overall: Slowly making progress on this show. I think around episode 35 I actually started to care what was going on simply because it got more interesting. Episode 26 was one huge recap too which helped me and my partner out since it had been a while since we had watched the show. Episode 27 brought us a new OP and we both agree that it is not as good as the other ones. I can't stand the bowling pin noises I can't help to hear in the song. It just sounds wrong and the new ED isn't on our good side either but it isn't as dislikes as the OP. If I had to pick one character that I don't hate in the slightest it would be Sai. He is just simply awesome. Mu La Flaga is also among my favourites along with the masked man. They make good rivals!
Hoshi ni Negai o OVA
Overall: Very much one of those weird Sci-Fi internet type shows. It's interesting enough but I can't really explain what went on cause stuff just happened.
Houkago no Pleiades OVA
Overall: VROOOOooooOooooM! Magical girls with a sponsorship from the car company Subaru have a lot of people scratching their heads wondering why. I personally just thought the ova was super fun and now I have magical girls to think about when I see Subaru cars on the road rather than the sexy car wash hunks that I saw in a commercial a few years ago!
Sonic: Night of the WereHog OVA
Overall: It was added to Anime-Planet so I watched it. I don't have much to add here except maybe I'm an animation watching whore...
Kanzen Shouri Daiteioh, Transformers: Scramble City, Kamen Rider SD, Shina Dark, Kigurumikku V3 OVA's I watched but have nothing of significance to say about them.
SHORTS: Kid's Castle, To Shoot Without Shooting, Aquatic, Dojoji, House of Flame, Briar Rose or The Sleeping Beauty, The Life of a Poet, Anthropo-Cynical Farce, Oni, Hanaori, Travel. These are all really weird older animations and most have to do with puppets. Some pretty weird and abstract stuff for sure. Kihachiro Kawamoto Film Works is where most of these came from and the others are from Koji Yamamura Film Works, which I can't wait to watch the rest of. If you are interested enough you'll look it up
February 5
Heartcatch Precure episodes 46-49 END
Overall: What a wild finish to what I'd like to say is the best Pretty Cure series to date. I've put a lot of time into this franchise and I'm glad I've finally truly enjoyed a series from start to finish. I didn't have to be coursed into it after 20 episodes or so like most of the others to get enjoyment out of it. I love how this series all the girls are of very different ages and still manage to find common ground. Old learning from the young and vice versa. I will miss this series but I shall be eagerly awaiting the movie that is coming out soon!
Fractale episodes 2-4
Overall: I'm in love with this world. It gives you so much to think about and explore within it. I'm not fond of how we keep getting dicked around with the show in general though. It's rubbing me the wrong way and I know I'm not the only one feeling this as some people have already dropped it at this point. I'm willing to keep going with it though since I really do like it a lot.
Starry Sky episodes 5-7
Overall: Are there really fans for this show????
Wandering Son episodes 2-4
Overall: SLOW!!! I hate shows where each episode feels like movie length. I almost fell asleep 3 times. I don't overly care for the plot in general either. Nor do I really enjoy the art. It's pretty but it's so light that it just hurts my eyes after a while.
Kimi ni Todoke 2 episodes 2-4
Overall: This show is completely adorable but enraging at the same bloody time. The fact that I can relate to most of the girl characters kinda weirds me out at just how realistic this anime really is. I like that factor about it though and still look forward to a confession between our two very awkward love birds.
Astro Fighter Sunred episode 49
Overall: The egg dish that Vamp cooked up looked really good. I love this show so much and it gave me a great idea for a new blogging project that I hope to start up after my diet.
Mitsudomoe 2 episodes 3-5
Overall: Oddly season 1 didn't make me laugh nearly as much as season 2 seems to be making me. I'm very interested in these kind of shows that have a better S2 than their S1. At least that's from my opinion. The series started off weak with that first episode but has gotten better and better as it goes along. I actually look forward to a new episode each week where before I could have cared less.
Rio ep 2-5 episodes
Overall: Who thinks up these strange games? I find them to be very weird sometimes and very un-casino like. I really like the ED but only the first 20 seconds with the bunny girls doing leg lifts... Something about that is just awesome.
IS episodes 3-5
Overall: Fanservice fun is all I'm really getting out of this show. I do like the weird mecha design they got going though. Not much else to say about it honestly.
February 6
Freezing episodes 3-5
Overall: This really is starting to make me think of Queens Blade but with annoying male characters and in a school setting. These girls simply can not keep their clothing on which makes watching battles highly amusing. I love trying to guess which girl will flash a boob to us first. Episode 5 introduced a new girl joining the school and I think she'll end up being my favourite of the bunch. There's just something super adorable about her!
Gosick episodes 2-5
Overall: Episodes 2-3 on the ship was awesome. I think that story would have made a better anime on it's own than this one. Not overly fond of this Gothic loli but meh.
Cardfight!! Vanguard episodes 2-5
Overall: I'm weirded out that I've actually started to get into this show since I'm not generally interested in card battle shows in the slightest. I'm amused by how they imagine themselves battling as the cards and that they also make strange dying faces when they take damage. I'm also weirded out by the fact that I keep expecting or subconsciously wanting this to turn out like Hikaru no Go! I think I need some boardgame anime to make this weird feeling go away. Or MAYBE I'll be delightfully surprised...
Yumekui Merry episodes 2-5
Overall: I don't hate it but i don't have anything to really say about it either...
Index II episodes 13-17, Letter Bee 2 episodes 12-16, Super Robot Wars ~ The Inspector episodes 14-18
Overall: Not much to say about these. They are making some interesting progress as we slowly near the end. Index just got finished up with a pretty interesting arc. Letter Bee had some amazing progress but Lag certainly still cries... SRW is the same as ever. Entertaining but slightly boring at times.
Suite PreCure episode 1
Overall: I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. I'm always afraid of magical girl series that take a dive into music. Especially since this one reminds me a lot of Onegai my Melody which isn't very good at all... Time will tell. One thing that I do like about it is that the girls bicker a lot so far. This reminds me of Pretty Cure Max Heart which is one of my favourites in the franchise.
February 7
Star Driver episodes 15-18 & Bakuman episodes 14-17
Overall: Both series are coming along splendidly. I find myself enjoying Bakuman more and more with each episode that comes out where generally all I hear around me is moaning and complaining over how crappy it is. Oh well though.
Puella Magi Madoka Magica episodes 1-5
Overall: Re-watched this one from the start to see exactly what all the fuss is about. I still don't quite understand all the high praise but I do understand why people are freaking out over it as much as they are. I'm interested I'll give it that much but I still think it's trying a little too hard to bring forth a dark magical girl side where things have pretty sever consequences if you fail or falter. I really love the music though that is highly fitting for the series. Still getting use to the strange imagery but I can see how people would gobble that up since it's very different from the norm.
Dragon Crisis & Oniichan episodes 2-5
Overall: Yawn
Hime Chen! Otogi Chikku Idol Lilpri episodes 40-43
Overall: My singing magical girls are still going strong with each episode that flies by. I've come to really enjoy that they get new outfits with each new episode too. I simply LOVED the wedding dresses in episode 40 and in number 42 the skating theme was wonderful. Hello chii's girly side much? XD
Kore wa Zombie desu ka episodes 2-5
Overall: Funny stuff but it's gotten a little tiresome after the first 2 episodes. That first episode sure did bring in the masses with how random and hilarious it was. I still love the idea of a magical girl zombie that just happens to be a boy.
Wolverine episodes 3-5
Overall: Just seems to me like this is one action packed weird romance show. I do find however that the action is a lot of the same thing over and over again. I can always predict Logan getting beaten up but somehow winning or something happens where neither can fight it out any longer. The chick that is following him around seems to be a pretty useless character only around for revenge purposes. I do however really like that samurai that has his sword in his hand. Reminds me a lot of X which is AOK by me.
Beelzebub episodes 2-5 + OVA
Overall: I watched the ova first before resuming the episodes and came to realize that the ova basically summed up all these episodes so I feel like i've wasted over an hour on this series that I'm not entirely sure where it's going. I get that he's a demon baby and all but the gags and the baby himself is just plain annoying. I enjoy some of the humour but it's getting old.
