Favourites are a great thing. What makes these shows mine is that I think about them very often when I'm thinking about anime and wish to watch them more than once. Some of them I've already watched 5+ times. To be a favourite they also must be entertaining as a whole series. So if they have season 2's or more, I should have loved them just as much as their season one. Everything on the list below applies! I've been meaning to make this kind of list for many years now and I've finally sat down and mulled through all my anime titles and picked these 100 to be my absolute favourites.
Like digitalboy I'll be updating this list regularly from now on but not once a month. I will only update when I feel an anime has stood up to my standards to break into this 100 anime list. I will keep a list at the bottom of this page which of which anime has moved in and which it has kicked out. I doubt that it'll happen very often but time will tell. Check out my Does Not Want List for a taste of my dislikes.

I didn't forget about this! I just got so busy for December that there was no time to do one. So This one will be short and simple. The list consists of a lot of fall anime and since I already talked about those in my 2010 Fall Review post there is no point talking further about them here unless I have a special moment I wish to share. So here's some fun pictures from everything I watched over the month of December and a little bit of talking in between! I'll be starting the next Tuesday Tally from January 1st onward. I think this is the best way to start off the new year since it'll be way more fun of keeping track of ALL the anime I have consumed in a whole year by starting fresh!
Melody of Oblivion episodes 9-11 were watched and it's still pretty @.@
I watched some anime with the Skype anime viewing group for the first time and ended up sitting through Amagami SS episode 23, episode 4 of Tamayura and Kuragehime episode 8 I watched once on my own and once with the group. Overall that was a fun first experience but hope to do shows I actually care about in the future and that I haven't viewed already.
The rest was just Fall airing anime that ended up having nothing worthy of a mention.
Week 6 Starts off with more current airing anime but I shall only talk about Bleach from that. WE SAW GINS EYES! That is all...
I also re-started Gundam Seed this week and got through 7 episodes. The first time I watched episode 7 I was pissed at the end of it and this time around I felt even more rage oddly enough!
Yosuga no Sora episode 11 deserves a moment here. Sora, Haru, Sora, Haru, Sora, Haru, Sora, Haru, Sora, Haru... Urgg this show is pure crap.
My last Not so Secret Santa anime, Akagi was started. I got through 12 episodes before friends arrived for the week.
Week 7 I finished off Akagi very slowly but got it done before I posted about it on the designated day.
More anime group blogger watches started happening around Christmas time and what better show to pick than the happy go lucky Gundam 0080! This was a re-watch and honestly I was glad to watch it along side some super Gundam fans out there. I didn't like the OVA the first time around watching it on my own but with this re-watch I certainly appreciate it even more now. Those hamburgers were delicious!
Katanagatari episode 12 I finally got around to and lets just say. BEST ANIME OF 2010! More random fall airing anime episodes were watched.
In order to complete my anime goals for 2010 Shiki needed to be restarted since I had pretty much dropped it at episode 10 for being super lame and boring to no end. Man am I ever glad I picked it back up again. Episodes 11-13 were rather dull but gaining re-interest and when episode 14 hit I was hooked. I ended up watching it none stop all the way to episode 21 and ended up eagerly waiting for the final episode to air on new years eve. The end episode was something...
More weird Melody Of Oblivion was watched and it's still very @.@
Week 8 I decided to finish off straggler anime before I left for new years. So that meant picking up the Spring old K-on II. All I can honestly say is blaaaaaaaaa BUT I did find it hilarious that the bf was interested in it but ONLY because they had actual sponsored instruments in the show and he liked that.
Star Driver and Bakuman were caught up with from episode 9-13 for both. I gotta say I've completely enjoying these 2 series even though the majority of people aren't.
For some reason I watched episodes 1-3 of Haiyoru! Nyaru-ani: Remember My Love(craft-sensei). But then again I know I only watched it because I watched the other 2 minute 9 episodes of Haiyoru! Nyaru-Ani before. These ones are only 4 minutes now so no brain damage occurred.
Starry Sky episode 1... Theres a lot of stars in the sky! The lead boys mom looks like she is his age which is a tad disturbing. But not as disturbing as his SUPER girly looking dad.The art honestly looks like they just took the manga and coloured in the pictures poorly.
Melody of Oblivion was finished off and honestly... I still have no idea what I watched... I didn't hate it though that much is known.
Samurai Girls I started from episode 6 straight onto 12. I wouldn't have enjoyed it so much if I didn't watch it in one scoop like this. The art is definitely something to marvel at though.
Gundam Seed episodes 11-15 were watched and they are all new ones for me now. I don't have much to say about it at this point but I did enjoy the odd kind of recap in episode 14 showing the gundam models as a report.
Winter Sonata I had started back in 2009 but subs were slow so I stalled it. Since I wanted some fun anime to bring with me on my new years trip I figured it was the most logical choice. After all I consider anime I actually want to watch fun anime even if the subject at hand is pretty darn harsh and dramatic. Which Winter Sonata will throw at you many many times. I only watched episode 0 which is basically a long plot episode and then the first episode of the series. I had seen both before but watching them again as a refresher was good for me.
Pretty Cure's magical silhouette sequence is awesome... Just sayin...
December was a busy month but was fun! Lots of anime watched and many more to come!
Like last year I made it a goal to watch everything that aired this year. With a few exceptions of course. Season 2 of shows I haven't seen were counted out and shows that I had seen a lot of but knew I couldn't just stomach anymore. Yup that means no Hidamari Sketch for me this winter! I still can't stand that so many seasons of it are being made... Cobra The Animation was the only other show I didn't watch that aired. It is something I've been wanting to watch for a while and this as certainly bumped it up in my want to watch list. Here we go with Winter's Aired Anime.
Winter actually was a really short season with only 13 shows that aired. Katanagatari started but it only showed one episode per month for the entire year so I don't quite count it. Only 2 shows ended up being 24 episodes (Durarara and Qwaser) and carried onto Spring where all the others were 12-13 episodes. So everything pretty much ended for new spring anime to take over the airwaves.
Winter honestly was a pretty boring season. It had some winners but half my list is on the lower half, out of 10 score wise for only 13 series... Everything was new except for Hidamari Sketch, Cobra, and Heartcatch but since I only started Heartcatch that didn't really matter to me. I was expecting new and fresh from everything but all I got was lame and crappy for the most part.
Katanagatari did something new. Something I haven't ever really seen before. Well in more ways than one honestly. Some of it was cliche like the one episode per sword capture type deal but mostly it was unique. The art and music were amazing and not to mention that you only got one episode per month! That was something special to me. I had always honestly wondered why no one had ever really done a show like that before (There might have been but I'm too lazy to research it) spanning an entire year with 12, 45 minute episodes. Generally I hate shows that have long air dates but Katanagatari was reliable for when it was going to come out. So I knew I would get my show once a month no matter what.
Best Show of winter for me, aside from Katanagatari because that is the winner for overall best anime of 2010 was Durarara. I was looking forward to it from the moment I saw it announced. I watched the first episode and wrote a little something about it and then I actually ended up waiting till it was finished to watch anymore. I'm SO glad I waited too because there's nothing worse than waiting to see one of your favourite shows one episode at a time over many, many weeks. Some people love that but I just can't stand it with something I'm totally into.
Worst Show of winter for me would be Chu-Bra... Even though it's THE only series I have "successfully" blogged all the way through... ._. ...I love panties but not from the eyes of a 12 year old. I'm not even going to chew this anime out anymore. I think I've done that enough already. Urrg.
Here's my big list of Best to Worst shows of winter 2010:
- Durarara 10/10
- Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu 8/10
- Hanamaru Youchien 7/10
- Sora no Woto 7/10
- Heartcatch Pretty Cure (still airing) 6/10
- Seikon no Qwaser 5/10
- Dance In The Vampire Bund 4/10
- Ookami Kakushi 4/10
- Ladies Versus Butlers 4/10
- Omamori Himari 2/10
- Chu-Bra 1/10
Surprise enjoyment: Hanamaru Youchien I expected to be just another one of those perverted school kid shows that everyone thinks is cute. It ended up being much, much more.
Surprise fail: Ookami Kakushi I don't even know what that was...
Honorable mentions: Cobra I honestly can't wait to sink my teeth into. I put off watching the new one because I haven't seen the old. This is something I shall be completing in the year to come for sure. Sora no Woto I actually expected to hate a lot more than I ended up. It was total win though. Well not total, it could have been a little less slice of war life like and a little more awesome even though what was there in general was pretty darn awesome. I'm still not sure of my overall thoughts of the show. Heartcatch has brought Pretty Cure back up to my magical girl standards. It was shattered with Fresh last year so I was expecting the worst. Thankfully I got the best. Seikon no Qwaser I think digiboy said it best here "purposefully awesomely bad".
Tuesday Tally brings you a huge list of what I have watched in the past week. Or in this case the past 2 weeks. But don't worry it won't be a crazy length to go through. I ended up feeling very under the weather last Monday and it kind of lasted for 5 days. It was very hard to sit at the computer during most of those days so Tuesday Tally Week 2 was put off till this week. I can't explain why I barely watched any anime during this time other than I just didn't feel like it. Being sickly does weird things to me at times that I just don't understand.
I still don't have a real formate I'm following for these posts so it may be pretty jumbled at times and bounce around a lot.
November 16th - November 22nd
Imouto ep 7
Overall: Annoying chick has an anime screening! It was a very boring episode for me. Like... Super boring.
Nurarihyon ep 18-19
Overall: I'm completely in love with all these weird little monsters in this show. They are just so awesome but the art still weirds me out a little. Overall it seems pretty nice though. There is this weird creepy tongue dude that is super annoying with his tongue. He really makes me wish that I could chop it off or something. I just realized that the ED pulls me in with the chibis and I end up watching a lot of it before turning it off. I don't even overly like the music or anything. It's just the chibis! They make me remember this Naruto ED. I don't get why they draw me in since I think they are kinda creepy.
Otome Yokai Zakuro ep 7
Overall: Creepy pumpkin child monster was making mud pies or cookies in this case. Ahhhh childhood memories. An adorable woman named Tae appears screaming YOUNG MASTER in front of all the girls. Of course flushes cheeks are all about. It's time to visit father for a lovely awkward dinner. Really cute episode that further bonded these 2 main characters. I enjoyed the father figure
Psychic Detective Yakumo ep 6
Overall: I hate it when inappropriate music for a scene is played. It actually makes me pretty angry... Delicious intestine and arteries anyone? Le eww. The long awaited shirtless scene was not as hot as I hoped it would be. 🙁 I hate that this series is so disappointing.
Star Driver ep 7
Overall: The happy Christmas ad was SO cute in the middle of the episode. Thanks gg XD This weird ass chick has an interesting outfit and almost fail launches. She in general is kinda fail. I'm digging the pink clouds in the background this episode. They are pretty. "I only want your galactic ship" kiss and slap. That was just lolz.
Gundam 00 ep 16-18
Overall: Some new Gundams show up dun dun dun. I like when recap episodes don't take the full episode to do so. I might be growing attached to the civilian storyline after all but I'm still pretty unsure. I REALLY HATE THE GIRL GUNDAM PILOT.
Robot Wars ep 7
Togainu no Chi ep 6
Milky Holmes ep 6
Overall: Politics, blood, and cat butts oh my!
Yumeiro Patissiere Pro ep 7
Overall: CHICKEN! and "We're fans of your veggies."
Legendary Heroes ep 16-17
Overall: Failure inbreeding... Can I just say ewww right there... Very special... "Unknown dumplings await us!" "You must be growing to understand the way of the dumpling!" DELICIOUS DUMPLINGS! I saw a horse that has a unicorn horn as armor. AWESOME!
HeartCatch ep 39
Index II ep 6
Yosuga ep 7
Ika ep 7
Overall: Not much to mention about these episodes at all.
Katanagatari ep 11
Overall: Pretty grim start to it after they start off with a list of the swords they have. I found that to be very nice and refreshing. DANGO nomnoming... I fear that Clannad has ruined dango for me which really pisses me off. There will be dango murder by me very, very soon... Anyway... >.> lol... The episode left off with an awesome cliffhanger. I'm very tempted to re-watch all the episodes before the last one comes out in little over a week but I don't know if I really want to do that either. There is a lot of talky talky after all that is a tad boring at times.
Gundam 00 ep 19-25
Overall: I'm finding the trio are super fun to hate on and I'm not sure how much I enjoy them messing around with the other Gundams. I actually feel a tad sorry for Saji being dumped by his love over her new handicap. But the random montage of their moments with a song playing was just odd... Setsuna: "I believed in God. I was made to believe. There is no God in this world. I believed in God and learned that he did not exist. That's what HE made me do." That whole speech was rather awesome and made me ponder a lot. We finally start to see the real colours of that Chinese chick. She was too transparent for her to be on the Gundams side. There was one point where Setsuna was not able to move his gundam. It felt like a Neon Genesis Evangelion moment that Shinji frequently had. I've said it a million times before but battles in space are the best! They are SO pretty. Lockon... and his awesome Irish revenge. Totally almost cried but didn't! Super excited to start on S2.
Ironman ep 6-7
Overall: The cleaning robot attack was completely hilarious. The way they moved their little arm was just priceless. I laughed when either Tony or the chick he was in the locked room with said they were going to freeze to death when the computer said the temperature was -10°C. Either way that was one crazy hacker. But seriously can one even hijack a plane through the internet? Is that even possible? Tony ends up drugged and brought to an island. An island apparently made of garbage. He is told to join zodiac or die. Oh those silly villains. When will they ever learn? It's always exciting to tune in to see how Tony is doing in his battle against evil each week.
The Rebirth of Buddha Movie - If I wanted to be converted to a religion sure. Overall it was very anime with a supernatural twist that I guess was suppose to be the religious part of it. 7/10
Blazing Transfer Student OVA - Fighting in school that ends up trying to be funny. Meh 4/10.
Melody Of Oblivion ep 1-3
Overall: I'm watching this show with ThePatches. There is a lot of random stuff that seems to go on and I gotta say these first 3 episodes were not anything like I was expecting from this show. I really just have no idea what is going on ever and Patches is just as lost as I am for the most part. All I gotta say is I think I want a bull bus of my own! Viva la monster union!
Gundam F91 Movie - Ironmasked man is pure CRAZY. This was a prequel to V Gundam. Honestly I should have watched it before VG but I just didn't feel like it. I didn't miss out on anything though. Overall the same feeling for it as VG 5/10.
Kuragehime ep 5
Overall: VIRGINSSSS! *sigh* There was a lot of that this episode and it made me giggle madly whenever it happened. I can't get over just how awesome every single character in this show is. I have not a problem with any of them! The episode ends with make overs for all! MA YA YA!!! "To battle you have to dress for battle!" BA M BA!!!
The World Only God Knows ep 7
Legendary Heroes ep 18-19
Overall: Not too much happened in these episodes that I care about.
Pokemon ep 1-2
Overall: I'm watching this with my bf while working out. I've seen these first 2 episodes about 20 times already XD
Char's Counterattack Movie - Char on a horse. Ray jumps on char on a horse. They fist fight! Quess is one interesting girl. I mean she just went into space without a suit on to jump into Char's arms! Oh that lady killer! Twas a good time 7/10.
Giant Robo ep 1-4
Overall: Big Fire is interesting. I also watched this dubbed. I'm not sure why but it wasn't hard on the ears at all and was rather fun that way at times. I can't imagine eating with my feet let alone while drunk. That's some interesting talent right there. I rather love the Chinese chick. She is pure adorable and her powers are quite interesting. I liked the back story of the professor battle long ago. Robo himself is pretty awesome. He has so many facial expressions even if it is the same one all the time. All you gotta do it add some water hehe.
Giant Robo ep 5-7
Overall: Words can't describe how awesome this show is 9/10.
Giant Robo Specials ep 1-3
Overall: I've seen shows play parody of themselves a lot but this one takes the cake. It was so bad it was good. There ended up being a lot of fan-service which I found to be a little awkward since there is only one chick in the show. "Do you like my song?" was said once during some part. Made me instantly think of silly Macross 7. When you have a giant robot that looks like you (being a girl) the only logical place to have rocket launchers to come out of is your boobs correct? I really, REALLY could have done without seeing all the men wearing Chinese dresses. 29, divorced, with child. Those words shall be the best from these specials.
Sora no Otoshimono 2 ep 8
Fortune Arterial ep 7
Overall: Sora was awesome like always. FA was crap like always.
Gundam 00 S2 ep 1-2
Overall: Kind of fun seeing everyone slightly more grown up and how things have changed or haven't. I love series that do this. I hate how most just have everyone eternally young and never chance their looks. The OP an ED are good but don't really fit with the Gundam theme. The new enemy makes me think of Last Exile and Dio. Sumeragi has started drinking a whole lot more and she really reminds me of Misato from Evangelion while doing it. Getting a little weirded out at how much I can compare 00 to Evangelion.
MoO episodes 4-8
Panty ep 8
Index II ep 7
Togainu no Chi ep 7
Hime Chen ep 32
Overall: Not much to say. I rather enjoyed Hime Chen's skull dresses and MoO is still very @.@ Panty music in the show must be the best thing about it since I notice it more and more with each episode I watch.
Hakuouki ep 18
Overall: Silver bullets of course! "The way of the oni." for some reason that line really made me laugh. Even though I know it probably shouldn't have. I was touched by the scene where the 2 men who didn't overly like each other sit under a tree after the battle that they just fought together. One silently slips away. If there's one thing that this show does well it's all the awesome blood everywhere in battles. Delicious.
Gundam 00 S2 ep 3-6
Overall: Innovators are interesting. I really, REALLY do not like that there is a little bit of story after the ED. Like why on earth do creators have to do that? At least I have scene skip on here. The war and country factors are starting to greatly effect my emotions. It relates too much to real life for me somehow. War has never been an easy subject for me to watch. I'm like really super duper mad at Saji. His actions are just so frustrating. So far I do not trust the new Lockon. Something just seems off. But that could just be his personality.
Nurarihyon no Mago ep 20
Yumeiro Patissiere Professional ep 8
Gundam 00 S2 ep 7-10
Overall: Watched a lot of awesome recap of people's pasts these few episodes. I was not impressed with the 2 "men" dancing together at the ball. Shit just went all to hell for THAT country.
Gundam 00 S2 ep 11-17
Overall: It's hilarious wrong how they always say full names to each other. I'm not too sure how many more times I can handle Setsuna saying "Saji Crossroad" I do not understand why they have to do this... I'm so annoyed that they keep blaming the Gundams for her parents death when it was the bad ones that did it >.< Like why won't they just tell her that. Or him so he can tell her. Seriously! "If I fight, people will be hurt!" I hate you Saji. Like so much! "You got bad taste." lol what Setsuna? That didn't even make sense. "So we follow the chain of command." Wise words spoken from a wise man.
I started writing a story many years ago, way before Gundam 00 was thought up anyway. And I gotta say Setsuna is just like my main character and if I ever let anyone read it now people that have seen 00 would totally think I made my character from Setsuna's character. Just random and I think adds to why I really am enjoying Gundam 00 even though S2 is clearly not as awesome as S1. The masked man is just crazy at this point. "I apologize for your death!" Seriously masked man? He still can't pilot a suit without bleeding from his mouth too XD You would think that all his training by now would have fixed that issue of his. "Are you breaking us up?" Can he say anymore ridiculous things???
Another one of those evil beams in space were made and this time it was shot at the tower. It begins to fall and everyone unites for a time to save as many lives as possible. The time I had been waiting for had arrived. I cried. I cried a lot. Congratulations Gundam 00 for being the 6th anime to ever make me cry.
Gundam 00 S2 ep 18-end
Overall: Maybe it's just me here (I know it totally is just me) but Ribbons reminds me of CC. It might be the hair. It could be the attitude. I'm still not really sure. "This man was also distorted by us." I really love all these one liners that Setsuna blurts out. They make me think a lot for some reason. I call the place where people are naked and have heart to heart chats "Particle land". This place is creepy to me and I don't like it at all. Why can't they just talk normally still inside their Gundams? All and all everything gets "resolved" the best it can. Things still are all out of place but I think people at this point are sick of fighting and will be willing to work at peace. I really can't wait to watch the movie coming out some time in December for us Westerners. ^__^ Only one more Gundam show to go before I have completed all Gundam titles! Gundam Seed here I come!
Pokemon ep 3
Overall: More workout time. 2 Pokemon caught!
Ironman ep 8
Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru ep 7
MM ep 8
Overall: All I can say here is kinda boring and Ironman? Did you really need to insert a random little brat? >.<
Star Driver ep 8
Overall: That was one of the longest panting scenes I have ever seen! 40 seconds! It was up there with Isamu's from Macross Plus!
Milky ep 7
Imouto ep 8
Psychic ep 7
Bakuman ep 8
Zakuro ep 8
Overall: Lots of interesting in the above titles but nothing worth going into detail about. But I gotta say that Detective Psychic and the molester lady is just @.@ the next episode shall be interesting... 😐
Astro Fighter Sunred ep "48"
Overall: The scissor man and the random squirrel really made me laugh for no reason. I mean honestly where did he get that huge nut. Sundred takes on a funny new baddie that probably wrote KILL YOU! on his door. Vamp gets together a bunch of monsters that end up putting garbage bags over their heads and start cheerleading Sunred on. *kiss me* XD I can't believe how a 10 minute episode can have me in tears of laughter.
Robot Wars ep 8
Overall: Lots and lots of pew pew this episode. And some boobs too.
Omae Umasou da na ep 1-20
Overall: Re-watched because I love DINOSAURS! Short and sweet. You should watch it too!
Amagami SS ep 17-20
Overall: For a "fat" girl she sure isn't very fat... Urg at this show...
November 23rd - November 29th
Hades Project Zeorymer OVA - Man and woman can pilot the Zeorymer together. I had been looking forward to this OVA for quite some time and it didn't disapoint my wait. It does leave a little something to be desired at the end of it all though. Overall it is fun 8/10.
Wednesday - Sunday:
I didn't watch anything............ ._.
Monster ep 1-3
As promised from my other post, here is a breakdown on my first thoughts of the Winter 2010 series that are coming out. I used the follow up winter chart from chartfags to gather this list. All in all the only show I'm looking forward to watching is Durarara. Katanagatari (if it comes out) would be my number 2 choice. I have very little interest in anything else but Hidden God and Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 3 look like they might hold some potential. So-Ra-No-Wo-To also looks interesting but I'm afraid of series that revolve around music. Normally I end up hating them because I don't enjoy the music. Anyway here we go!
Just reading this little synopsis makes me shake my head. While it might sound like an ok idea on paper, I can't see this working out so well on the screen. More so judging by this picture there are only females aside from that one male in the middle. (there might be another in the right corner but whatever :P) Right away I see they are throwing the main idea out the window for this anime and just going to make it about this dude and these girls running around school with magical powers. If it actually keeps it's focus on the "battle of the classes" this anime might be enjoyable enough to get an average rating. School life anime are very difficult for me to get into because they are almost always the same and that gets pretty tiresome after a while. I'm hoping that this magic element will be able to hold my interest with a good cast of characters as well because if the characters suck it doesn't matter how awesome the plot is, it just won't be enjoyable.
Wow... I like a good ecchi romp every now and then but this is just trying WAY too hard to be over the top. I generally dislike any anime that feeds the hoards of men that want to jerk off to every hot/cute anime girl they see. Nasty lol. Hopefully this show will not take it's self seriously and will be able to make me laugh. Because honestly a club about pantsu.... at school? This sounds hilarious but might fail hard so my hopes aren't too high for this one. This might be a good ecchi follow up for my beloved Sora no Otoshimono airing from fall. Good recommendations for each other that's for sure.
Now I'm no vampire fan. Actually one might say that I am very much against all the hype these creatures get. Because don't get me wrong... Vampires are cool but when they have been used so much in anime let alone in real life stuff it gets very tiresome. *shakes fist at Twilight* Or maybe I'm just a hater for no other reason than people seem to love them even if what they are in is shitty. Anyway I get the feeling like this is an anime version of Blade or something. So it could hold some potential for being good. It better blow me away with some amazing action and blood. I'm hoping yet again that a show this season will surprise me.
Now right away this title has me at the mere mention of "from the creators" of BACCANO! I love Baccano to bits. If I was an anime character I would seriously be Miria. Reading this synopsis it tells me right away that they are sticking with their love of a tonne of interesting quirky characters. I am deeply interested in this headless Irish fairy. Will it drink all the time? XD What information is this vendor selling? What does this underworld doctor mean? Does he treat demons or something? So many questions! I hope to be filled to the max with non stop action and some weird romance thrown in there along with maybe a little gore. Baccano sure was a nice surprise for gore! I'm so looking forward to this show!
I'm generally all for weird randomness in shows. But this one doesn't do it for me. I doubt this will get picked up by fansubbers anyway because season 2 and season 3 haven't been finished yet. This is very niche humour.
Moe nastiness. I'll never understand these type of shows let alone why people like to watch shows about really young kids. Is it the huge eyeballs? The carefree feeling of being a kid again? .... The innocence? *barfs* At least in Kyou no Go no Ni the kids were after each other... Not teachers.
I'm all for people being sucked into another world and being told they are the only one that can save it. Overused yes, but what these other worlds hold are generally a lovely mix of fantasy and adventure. I would like to think that this is going to be some epic awesome adventure like The Twelve Kingdoms but I have a really bad fear that it will not deliver on that part and focus on these 8 bishies that are to "protect" her. More like fight over which one gets to make out with her.... Oh which one will it be? XD
I have a deep deep seeded hatred for this franchise.... I will be the first to admit I thought it all was going to suck. But I did enjoy the first Pretty Cure when I sat down to watch it. (Kinda how I was with Sailor Moon way back when but ended up liking it and starting down the terrible anime fan path XD) After that first season though things went down hill REALLY fast and I found myself struggling to finish episodes let alone keep going to get to each different series. So you may be thinking at this point well why keep watching? My answer is that I was the one that wrote all the synopsis and took the screen shots for each and every one that are listed on Anime-Planet. I still have a few more titles to add which is why I will be watching this one as well. Purely to add it to the database. I will most likely put it in my stalled list after watching only enough to be able to write a proper synopsis for it. I hate you Precure. >.<
Yup I have nothing to say about this show. I will NOT be watching it. I sat through ALL the other ones in hopes that it would make me laugh or something but all I got was annoyance. Won't watch list for you Hidamari Sketch... Give me more Strawberry Marshmallow instead of this crap! >.<
This show will either be completely boring or totally awesome tip of your seat sitting through each episode. I'm obviously hoping for the latter but will probably get something in between. At least the graphics look really pretty. It's making me think of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni for some reason but I can't quite place my finger on why. Maybe deep down I just want something else to be as awesome as it.
I don't know if I should hate or like it. The story is cliche but it could just be a fun cops and robbers type show with some cute moments and lots of laughs.
A martial artist setting out to discover more special swords. It sounds boring but it should have a good amount of adventure to keep me interested. I mean Naked Wolves is a show about learning sumo moves all over the world. It's totally cheesy with the art and well just plain old lame but it is oh so entertaining. LOL How can this show be worse that that one? XD
This show seems like some weird cross between Hayate the Combat Butler! and He is My Master but in a school setting. It could hold some laughs but I'm not really interested as the whole maid/butler thing in anime has never done it for me.
Guess I should actually watch the rest of this series in order to start this one. But once again the musical aspect of it scares me. Pianos are nice but I have to be in the mood to care about them. Who knows maybe the drama will be good and distract me from the music if I hate it. Oh and this picture does look like 2 dudes. XD
*face palms* If it's not maids it's cat girls. And this one has a sword and protects a boy... *rolls eyes* Fan service at it's best I suppose. Maybe the action will be worth sitting through this crap. And who knows there might actually be some interesting plot. God I hope so....
This all seems normal till it gets to the part about getting power from breast milk to control iron? Ok seriously wtf. This is worth checking out after sitting through Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-Chan!! with all the peeing! It'll probably be so bad it's hilarious because that is exactly what happened with Ippatsu let alone the infamous Queen's Blade.
Like Nodame Cantabile: Finale I have not seen what comes before this one. So unless I watch that I will not be watching this one... and honestly I might just "forget" to get around to it. Ecchi card battles does not seem like a good combination for me.
Military + music? Ok you got me. I'm interested to see what kind of music will be used in this. Deep down I hope it doesn't suck because I would like to enjoy something other than Durarara!! this season. But having it revolve around kids doesn't help me have faith in the quality of this show.
Uhhhh I don't get it.... Probably won't get picked up by anyone anyway. LOL
There you have it. All my thoughts on the upcoming crappy season of anime. I really hope I enjoy more than 1 show this season... It'll be a long one to get through otherwise. 😐
