Day 34/366

Koe de Oshigoto gives a plain and ordinary school girl and boy a chance at being awesome voice actors for erotic games!

These uniforms are plain but they are plain for a reason. Girls wear a typical sailor suit but it is red and has a yellow tie. The skirt has a white trim around the bottom and the shirt top gets to have red trim around the cuffs. I'm not the hugest fan of yellow anything but it goes quite good with the red uniform in this case. Boys get to wear your typical all black school uniform.

We get to see both genders in their gym outfits. Girls wear red where boys wear a turquoise green. Both wear long sleeved shirts which I personally do not like. Everything about these outfits is portrayed as "normal" because what the anime is about isn't so normal but we do get the feeling of yes these kids are just normal everyday students that just happened to find themselves in the eroge business.

Overall: If I was doing sexy voice acting I sure as hell wouldn't show up to "work" in my school uniform...

Sacred Seven is about a bunch of kids with superpowers...

I got really tired at searching for all the different colour uniforms this anime seems to have. I did my best though. Boys are plain but just switch from colour to colour when the show sees fit. They have black pants and a short fat blue tie. The jacket comes in 3 colours from what I saw. Tan, white, and black. The white one if my favourite of the bunch and they all have interesting trimmings. The black one has light blue trimmings that makes it look like something out of Tron.

Girl uniforms are pretty darn ugly even though they have plaid skirts which I like. Depending on where you look the skirt is either a plaid blue or a plaid gray. I dunno why these uniforms are so complicated with the colour schemes in this anime but they are all ugly. The girls wear a pretty plain white jacket (or they wear the same tan uniform jacket as the boys) and get to wear the most hideous baby blue (yellow with the gray skirt) sweater if they choose so. Boys get to wear this ugly sweater as well if they want to... To make matters worse their huge yellow (blue with the gray skirt) bow tie is just wrong. Ruri is super special so she gets to wear her uniform in a pink shade. So ugly honestly and the huge pink bow just makes things worse for hers because she wears a huge red bow in her bright orange hair.

Overall: So not wearing these even if the skirt is plaid. I dunno what the creators of these uniforms were thinking...

Deadman Wonderland mostly takes place in a prison but before the main character was put there he was just an ordinary school boy.

These uniforms are plain as plain can be. Both genders have white shirts with black bottoms. The girls have a short skirt and get to wear a nice red thin bow tie. Honestly not much else to say here except they have an ugly tan sweater vest that they could wear as well. Ish.

Overall: I'd wear it if I wanted to blend in anywhere.

R-15 is about a bunch of students that have varying passions. One boy just happens to be very good at writing porn.

Both uniforms are nice and unique. Girl uniforms are a purple long sleeved dress that has a lovely black belt as well. Belts are really rare on girl uniforms and this one looks great. They have white jackets that are much shorter than a normal jacket stopping at the ribs. The cuffs of the jacket are short and poofy which is a little strange but still looks good. The cuffs on the dress are white instead of purple but look nice because they match the collar around the neck. They get to wear a yellow tie which is nice and flowy. It doesn't look like a typical tie because it is just 2 strands flowing down. I'm generally not a yellow person but purple and yellow go very well together making this uniform pop out greatly among all the others.

Boy uniforms are quite fun even thought they are all black. They get to wear a normal vest over a white long sleeved shirt. It has the school crest on the left breast. This crest actually looks alright on this uniform because it's not in your face like most crests are. It also helps that the in your faceness it taken away by the tie which just happens to be the same as the girl uniforms. It works quite well on both genders.

Overall: I'd totally wear these. I have a weakness for purple.

Subaru & Kinjirou

Mayo Chiki is about a girl who cross-dresses as a boy only to be discovered by the one male that just happens to fear females greatly.

Since the main girl in this show is pretending to be a boy, I'll start with the boy uniforms. They are all black with a typical white shirt. There seems to be a choice in the colour of tie they can wear but I like the purple one the best. Subaru's uniform is slightly different from all the other boys because she serves as a butler. So her jacket has tails in the back and her shirt is gray with some criss cross ties to make it look fancy. She gets to wear a red tie but I still prefer the purple one.

Girl uniforms are a red one piece jumper dress which I really like. They have a thin green bow which is also nice. It's also good that the bow isn't huge otherwise the outfit would look very Christmas themed like. Their plain white t-shirt with red trimmings around the sleeves is quite lovely as well. Since Subaru is a butler to a rich girl in school she gets to have a slightly different style to her uniform as well. It is a white dress that has fun criss cross ties down the middle like Subaru's shirt. She has a long black jacket that is almost as long as her dress. It also has gray underlining that is slightly longer than the jacket which looks quite awesome. There are these cute little gray wing like flares on her inner shoulder that make this outfit stand out even more than it already does.

Overall: I don't care if I wear either of these or not.

366 Days of Anime School Uniforms: Day 29/366 Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi

Himea

Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi is about magical girls that get mixed up with magical boys.

These girl uniforms scream super girly to me and remind me of easter eggs as well. Bright pastel pink skirt with a white long sleeved shirt and pink trimmings. Not to mention the in your face yellow bow tie. It's rather cute but so girly at the same time. I really like that the skirt has these 2 cute little buttons on it and the white stripe on the bottom is lovely as well. I don't like pink very much personally but this sailor uniform is quite nice considering.

Boy uniforms are sleek and all black. Typical but the white trim on the jacket is nice and the buttons are awesome. One button is at the very top and the other at the bottom. Those buttons kick ass.

Overall: Pink AND yellow... No thanks, not wearing that.

Inami, Aoi, & Poplar

Working!! mostly takes place in a restaurant so we get to see way more waitress outfits than we see school ones, but these girls do go to school sometimes!

Inami's uniform is an ugly green but has a plaid skirt so that's a bonus. I generally like floppy ties but with this uniform it is just uglier because it is red and sticks out like a sore thumb. Sure that's the point behind bows and uniforms but it's just terrible looking. To make this uniform worse than it already is there is a school crest on the left side you can't see it very well because it's the SAME ugly colour as the rest of the outfit... Hideous...

Aoi's uniform I don't ever remember seeing in the anime but I've found it in more than one picture. I like white uniforms so it gets a bonus with that having the skirt and jacket being pure white. The navy blue tie is a nice touch but that school crest ruins the whole outfit for me. It being brown in an attempt I assume to be gold is just gross.

Poplar's uniform is a typical navy blue sailor suit. Not much else to say about it honestly.

I honestly don't recall ever seeing any of the boys in school uniforms but if they were I'm sure they were the same old same old all black with a white shirt underneath.

Overall: None of these do it for me so I wouldn't like to wear any of them. Maybe Aoi's if I REALLY had to choose.

Shinryaku! Ika Musume mostly takes place at a beach with a silly squid girl but a few times we get to see the girls actually attend their school like normal kids!

We barely ever see the girls going to school in this anime but I'm rather glad about that because absolutely nothing is amazing about these uniforms. The boy ones are generic as generic can be with black pants and a white shirt. The girl uniforms are a plain typical sailor styled uniform. I do find it interesting that the skirt is black instead of a typical blue. I also like the fact that it is a sailor uniform because the rest of the anime takes place on a beach. Just a cute little detail to make the school uniform a sailor suit in my opinion.

Overall: No thanks!

Mashiro

Bakuman is about 2 boys who really want to make a manga while still attending school. Oh the joys of growing up!

Unlike most anime we see the boy uniforms the most in this series since it mostly follows 2 boys around. There are 2 different coloured uniforms each gender wears. A green jacket or a tan one is the big difference with the boy uniforms. They still wear gray pants with a black and red striped tie. The green jacket has a nice dark green trim to it where the tan jacket sports a breast pocket with the schools crest on it. I don't like crests but this one looks alright on the pocket. Not so much for the girl tan uniform though. The green uniform for the boys wins my heart over the tan one. I like the jacket more.

Girl uniforms are rather plain. The green one has a similar jacket to the boys and they wear a gray skirt which I find to be hideous. Both uniforms have a red floppy bow tie. If I had to choose between the green or tan for the girls it would be the tan one unlike picking the green one for the boys. The tan jacket for the girls I find to be ugly because that crest just isn't flattering at all on a girl but I love plaid skirts even if this one is a little odd being red and gray.

Overall: Love the show but don't want to wear either of the green or tan uniforms.

366 Days of Anime School Uniforms: Day 25/366 Mashiro-Iro Symphony

Mashiro-Iro Symphony is a shitty harem anime that happens to have a very cute fuzzy creature in it. The only good thing about the anime.

Girl uniforms are black and white with some ugly brown trimmings on the jacket collar but black everywhere else. I love white uniforms and all but these ones are just icky to me. I hate the puffy shoulders unlike the Madoka ones which I liked. It's probably because I hate this anime though... The black at the bottom of the jacket is the only interesting thing about this uniform to me. They get to wear blue or red thin bows which stand out the most about this uniform.

Boy uniforms are plain but rather interesting jacket wise. They have different shades of blue to make to stand out way more than boy uniforms normally do. I kinda like that but the gray in the middle where the buttons are is strange and having the collar the same as it is a little weird. I think it should have been the light blue colour instead.

Overall: Meh.
