365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 70/365 Nagisa Misumi
Day 70/365
From the anime Pretty Cure plus Pretty Cure Max Heart, Nagisa Misumi AKA Cure Black is a hyper school girl that plays for the lacrosse team. When she is transformed into Cure Black she is the strong one of the two but clearly needs the help of Cure White, Honoka Yukishiro, to defeat their enemies as she can't do it alone.
Why I like her: Untransformed she's a girly girl who dreams of boys, fashion, and has a lot of stuffed animals. In her Cure form she's strong and willing to do whatever it takes to vanquish the bad guys.
Why I hate her: She can be overpowering and super bossy/moody. Her and Honoka get into a few fights because of these traits.
Overall: For a magical girl she is pretty interesting.
365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 69/365 Kintaro Oe
Day 69/365
From the anime Golden Boy, Kintaro Oe is on a mission! He wishes to gain knowledge about everything and anything. He takes many different jobs to help accomplish this task. With each new job comes a new woman for Kintaro to try and capture her love and affection. Generally this turns out not in his favour as he is looked upon as a huge pervert by each one.
Why I like him: The quest for ALL knowledge is something that people rarely think about and he went about it a very interesting way. His bad luck with women was rather hilarious at times and almost makes you feel sorry for him because he is so intelligent.
Why I hate him: His perverted side was just too much for me at times.
Chu-Bra 07-10
We start off with Komachi trying to clasp a bra from the front. Right in between the breasts... So of course he can't do it without thinking dirty thoughts. Why does HE need to worry about clasping a bra anyway without having those dirty thoughts?
The cat was always there for Komachi but where did this monkey face come from for Yako all of a sudden? Or did I miss something.
Now Komachi starts thinking like Hayama when he sees the girls underwear in some of his classmates dirty magazine... Very odd.
We start off with boob teacher having a dream about Hayama's brother oh my! When will they (if ever) finally get together? They go to an inn on the beach to have a meeting to discuss club plans of course we all know that this won't happen and they shall play away!
The kids start to make fun of boob teacher because she is wearing her school swimsuit. She claims it's the only one she has because she doesn't go swimming very often. She told them that she shall take the name tag off it to make it a "little" more mature. Unfortunately right in the middle where her huge boobs are, it ripped. So Yako clearly decides to try and cut it up more to make it "sexy"... It's very much time to go and buy a new swimsuit.
It rains suddenly so their trip to the beach is postponed by a day. Doesn't stop them from checking out the inns hot spring though. Hair... Down their... Children of this age seriously don't act like this. I hate that a lot of males that watch anime have this weird view on women. Sure it's "funny" to put in but don't go thinking this stuff always happens when women are alone.
Komachi had his brother pack his swimsuit.... man thong. Very fitting for a brotherly prank.
Time to learn about growing boobs... Bleh whatever this ep was SO boring I'm not even going to bother with it.
Bra unclasping races... That's her big idea for the school festival... Nothing like drawing perverted unwanted attention to the pantsu club.
We briefly talk about men bras for a moment. This was good for a laugh. Boob teachers fantasies with Hayama's brother are getting funnier and funnier.
We again face the issue for girls wanting bigger boobs. I still don't get why. Some girls will try anything... Why exactly did she try to use a vacuum???
2 more episodes to go. Hurry up and be over please. I can't see an anime to come that will be worse than this one. I bet they'll make a season 2... I will not be watching it.
Omamori Himari 04-09
Tis been a while but I didn't forget about this one even though no one else seems to be watching it either. It is just another generic fanservice filled anime after all. The "plot" isn't all that deep and it's kinda boring. Why must someone always have a lack of memory about their past? Or if they have this issue why not give a good reason for it. Himari wishes to change this by bringing Yuto back to where he grew up. She needs him to see his real roll in the Amakawa Family and slay the demons instead of becoming their friends.
Episode 5 not much happens but some fanservice.
Another demon slayer appears, Kuesu Jinguji from England. She also turns out of be a sudden fiancée. Surprise surprise... She invites Yuto to come to her hotel room when he is willing to join her side.
A battle between Kuesu and Himari takes place. After almost being totally defeated by Kuesu, Himari sees just how scary she may become if she looses her way. She is after all the very thing she wishes to kill. A demon cat.
Well those were some powerful attacks! After her "clear" loss Himari stumbles back to Yuto's room all beaten up.
Because of her injuries from her battle with Kuesu, Himari takes a pill that will turn her "wild" in order to make her better. This of course means her full on cat form will come out and of course Yuto must be the ever so strong master willing to endure and help her see this through.
Yuto finally goes to the hotel where Kuesu is staying to tell her what he has decided. An odd moment goes by as he explains where he stands. It felt very Eva or ef - a tale of memories like in how it was presented.
Kuesu starts to flip out during this explanation and tries to kill Yuto with a knife. His inner power comes out and saves him flinging Kuesu back crashing into a window and starts to fall from the skyscraper.
While he watches this from his failed attempt to save her from falling memories come flashing back to him where it was her in fact that grew up with him sharing that kiss. He remembers that it was he that said it would be fun to fight demons together and that he'll always protect her.
Episode 9 starts off oddly at school. It's time to draw pictures. Himari starts taking pictures with her cell phone which doesn't quite meet the standards. But this picture of her is very pretty. Wallpaper pretty one might say.
While she and Yuto are off doing that some other classmates get their loli needs in with drawing ___ in a fountain soaking wet!
Demon vampire sucks some of Yuto's blood uh oh! Afterwards a rumor starts to go around about a cannibal demon whom eventually shows up and attacks Himari because everyone thought she was after Yuto instead! Don't they know what cannibal means!
I wonder if an elf girl will show up next.
365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 68/365 Cat Lady
Day 68/365
From the anime Kuruneko, Cat Lady has no name that I know of. She is based upon the real manga/blog writer Kuruneko Yamato and now it has an anime adaptation of 2 minutes per episode.
Why I like her: She is your typical crazy cat lady. She drinks, works hard, and adds many cats to her "collection".
Why I hate her: Can't hate a lady who loves cats!
Overall: If you are a cat lover like I am you NEED to check out this short sweet anime.
365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 67/365 Kraft Lawrence
Day 67/365
From the anime Spice and Wolf, Kraft Lawrence is a 25 year old man who travels around buying and selling various things in order to make a living. He hopes to make enough money in order to open up a shop of his own. One day he meets Holo, who is a wolf harvest deity, and from then on they become traveling companions.
Why I like him: Smart and clever he can always think of a way to get the best deal. He doesn't let Holo get away with her tantrums either which was key to my enjoyment. He is a very "real" character.
Why I hate him: I don't. He knows what he wants to do and does it.
Overall: This slow paced fantasy with hints of romance didn't bore me thanks to Lawrence. He could always stand up to Holo unlike most male leads in many other romance anime.
365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 66/365 Suzaku Kururugi
Day 66/365
From the anime Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, Suzaku Kururugi is the son of Japan's last prime minister, Genbu Kururugi. His existence was kept a secret from the public until after the war due to "interesting" circumstances. He pilots a Knightmare Frame known as the the Lancelot.
Why I like him: His ideals match mine for the most part. Watching him fight battles in his Lancelot (very fitting name) was always fun, along with that silver tongue of his too. He is very determined to do things his way.
Why I hate him: His pride got in the way of a lot of things that he should have done.
Overall: A character very well done. If he wasn't in this anime I might have not bothered with it.
365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 65/365 Konata Izumi
Day 65/365
From the anime Lucky Star, Konata Izumi is a girl that lives only with her dad because her mom passed away. She goes to school everyday and does very well in sports even though she stays inside most of the time. The most important thing about her is her love for all things otaku. She loves anime, ero-games, manga, going to cons, and plain old video games.
Why I like her: For me only probably, the funniest part of the whole show was that 10 minutes in episode 1 where they talked about her love for chocolate cornet. The way she related pretty much everything in her life to anime was pretty funny. I know a lot of people that do this too.
Why I hate her: The bickering with Kagami was rather annoying to watch. Other than that she is the one that annoyed me the least in the entire show. Quite an accomplishment. ^_^
Overall: Otaku inside anime make me laugh. I really need to watch more shows that have them in it and maybe someday I should re-watch Lucky Star and maybe it'll grow on me a little more than the first impression it left on me. Screw you Lucky Channel! >.<
Hanamaru Youchien 06-08
It's pool time!
I only recognize her suit because of the anime Kappa no Kaikata
Her shark suit was adorable as well though. I'll never tire of these outfits. Since Tsuchida only seems to have eyes for Yamamoto while at the pool side this makes Anzu sad and want attention anyway she can get it. They come up with many schemes to get Tsuchida to see Anzu instead of Yamamoto's huge breasts. They start off with a water dance.
Now it's a shark attack! Fake trouble means Anzu gets into trouble!
Children need to be careful with their wolf crying. As when something really terrible does happen adults might just think it's another false alarm and ignore it. Either way though Anzu did get the attention she wanted even if it wasn't exactly what she hoped for. Next we have Tsuchida's sister Satsuki randomly show up... I knew they couldn't just keep this anime to adults and kindergarten... They HAD to add a high school girl in there somewhere. And of course she gives Tsuchida a hard time like all teenage sisters do to their older brothers. She is here to observe if Tsuchida is doing a good job or not being a teacher for children.
Random observation, I think these days people would freak out with a male teacher taking a girl to the bathroom like that.
Ending picture I just had to include! I love beluga whales! <3Awesome cute ED yet again!
Summer break = Trips together! They go to where Tsuchida and Sakura grew up by train.
Once they arrive it takes Hiiragi no time to start exploring the area and find all kinds of interesting creatures.
BOOB WARS!
Hiiragi again has a new outfit! An adorable little flounder swimsuit!
After much fun outside all day, Satsuki wishes to surprise Tsuchida with a difficult meal including gnocchi (yum!). Despite praising her when she visited him at school for her cookin,g he turns out to be dumbfounded by the gnocchi and can't figure out who made it and guesses everyone but her. This of course makes her very upset and she runs away to her room and pouts.
Summer getaways wouldn't be complete without a festival to go to. Everyone gets dressed up and hits the town in style.
Their first task is to draw what they did all summer. Most draw cute pictures but one girl draws her parents working. She didn't go anywhere and just wanted to help her parents with their fish business. The children wish to learn about work so they go to her fish place to try and make him see that children can help out in the workplace as well. Super cute.
The second part of this episode Tsuchida meets Hinagiku on the street. She needs help because her shoe broke! Tsuchida helps her out and brings her to her home and now she wishes to get married to him and to be put into his class at the kindergarten.
Anzu tells Hinagiku after her meeting with Yamamoto that she should never give up on her love for Tsuchida because someday she'll grow up and be able to compete with Yamamoto (meaning her boobs).
In the end she still gives up (for now) and goes back to her home to her wonderful father that will do anything for her sweet Hinagiku.
This episode was the most boring one so far. It had it's cute moments but there just wasn't that cute wow factor in it that the rest of the episodes have had for me. This ED though is my favourite of these 3 episodes... I think it's cause of the cat and the mellow song
365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 64/365 Chinami Ebihara
Day 64/365
From the anime Code-E, Chinami Ebihara starts off as a shy, nerdy school girl who just happens to send off electromagnetic waves which disrupt or destroy nearby electronic equipment. Everyday she works to control this strange ability from causing problems for those around her. In Mission-E she has embraced her power and works for a company called OZ that studies and saves girls that also have the "Type-E" ability from their rival company Foundation.
Why I like her: For the most part I don't like her until Mission-E where she suddenly grows "balls". She makes me think of Yomiko Readman from Read or Die but definitely not as cool.
Why I hate her: In Code-E she is your typical boring schoolgirl with "issues" character. Sure her issues are a little strange but so are SO many other anime girls out there. Magical girl anyone?
Overall: Pretty much no one has even heard of this anime but it's worth a look if you like the weird super power type of anime.
