It is a New Year so that Means More Goals!

So last year I kinda skipped out on making a post like this when I did it both years before during my blogging history. I guess it was probably because of my wrist issues that happened late last year. I still have this issue but I'm trying not to let it stop me from posting the posts I want to and doing the things I want to. Kinda like how I view my general health issues... Anyway enough about that boring crappy stuff. That's depressing! Here's some awesome anime goals in list form!

  1. Watch all anime that airs in 2013
  2. Watch all of these shows on my friends list
  3. Try to review as many of these shows as possible on my friends list
  4. Keep up with regular postings in the Snack of the Week series
  5. Start Blogging Toriko again...
  6. 50 Years of anime posts (details to follow in another post but I gave hints here)
  7. Go to Anime Boston and COSPLAY as Popee!
  8. Watch ALL of Fist of the North Star (maybe blog a thing or 2 about it)
  9. Watch ALL of City Hunter
  10. Watch ALL of Kyo Kara Maoh
  11. Watch ALL of Saint Seiya

There is this picture that floats around the internet that has a huge list of anime on it that people should watch before asking someone for suggestions. I've seen a fair amount of them of course except for the following:

  1. Ghost in the Shell
  2. Kaze no Stigma
  3. IGPX
  4. Busou Renkin
  5. Zettai Karen Children

So I plan on watching these titles above for sure so I can say I've seen everything on that chart LOL! How many have you seen?? I randomly started to wonder if there was any other chart lists out there so of course I found this one as well, which is a huge mash-up of the one above but way more detailed. From this mess of chart that has many repeated anime on it, I've not seen the following: (the one with a * is in the list above too)

  1. Fist of the North Star (25 eps in)
  2. Captain Harlock (20 eps in years ago)
  3. Jigoku Shoujo (seen S1 need to see S2-3)
  4. Kanon 2006 (not watching because I suffered through the 2002 version already and I hate KEY)
  5. Ghost in the Shell*
  6. Space Battleship Yamato
  7. Armored Trooper Votoms
  8. Slam Dunk
  9. The Prince of Tennis
  10. Major
  11. Eyeshield 21 (saw the jump special though)
  12. Sola
  13. Basilisk
  14. Starship Operators
  15. Xam'd: Lost Memories
  16. Sketchbook ~full color's~
  17. Saiunkoku Monogatari

I dunno if I'll get around to all of these shows since half of them are huge franchises, but I'll try to get through the single serving shows anyway. (those are the bolded ones) If anyone knows specifically what the Michi show in the "obscure & artsy" section is let me know. I watched a few things by that title but I can't really tell which that picture is from since it is so small... I didn't include Beyond the Train Tracks, and Ghost Messenger above because I've never been able to find them. Been looking since they came into my radar and still nothing. If someone knows where I can find these titles do leave me message! Preferably subbed of course teehehe.

If anyone has suggestions for other possible popular stuff that I haven't already seen just leave a comment!

No goal post would be complete without adding in a few non-anime things. I'm sure no one cares about these but me but here they are anyway!

  1. Keep up with regular postings of Pokemon Workout
  2. Create an "Everything chii Blog" Or something along those lines... For ramblings and video game postings
  3. Figure out more ways to make money working from home
  4. Make some tetris shelves
  5. Bike more
  6. Clean and organize the attic

Happy New Year and Look! More Anime Resolutions

First of all Happy New Year!

I spent my new years eve countdown in a house with lots of friends somewhere in Vermont. We stayed there for 5 days and had a lot of fun. While there I didn't think about anime or blogging very much and I have now returned ready to face the new year with some fun goals. I have some personal goals in here again along with my lovely anime blogging ones. Last year I did this as well and I'm happy to say I pretty much have completed everything on the Anime side of the goals list. I do still have Gundam Seed and Chrono Crusade to finish off but they are slow watches because I've been buddy group watching them. The only goal I flat out failed was reading manga that wasn't just One Shots. It's really hard for me to sit down and read I guess which is hilarious considering watching anime is basically reading!

One thing I would like to talk about while I got your attention is my 365 Days of Anime Characters posts. They are complete now and I seriously had a lot of fun doing it. I hope everyone had fun reading them even if I choose a character from a show you haven't seen. The goal was to make some lesser known series more known or to at least have people say to me "I'm gonna check this out, thanks!" I got quite a few of those responses which pleased me very much. I won't be continuing this project this year but I might bring it back again in 2012 or later. (Don't hold me to that though haha.) So instead, in the next week or so I'll be starting a new series that will be only once a week. I don't have a name for this project yet but it'll probably be along the lines of chii's Movie Pick or something like that. So look forward to it. If you have a movie suggestion leave a comment and I'll add it to my list! Once again, THANK YOU for reading the Anime Character Series!

Here's my goals for 2011!

Picture done by shion (kizuro)

  1. Read more manga (not just one shots)
  2. Watch all anime that starts airing in 2011 (some exceptions apply)
  3. Watch the titles I have not seen on Digiboy's top 100 list

  5. Make more crazy top whatever anime lists
  6. Instead of just reading everyones blog posts actually comment on them more
  7. Attack Shinmaru and Prede's Anime-Planet lists and watch all that they have that I haven't
  8. Watch those really popular shows I have been putting off for some reason
  9. Pick ONE show from each season and episodically blog it (hopefully keep it to 12-13 episodes)

Suggestions for which shows to blog each season will be most appreciated! Level E is in the lead so far for Winter.

If anyone has suggestions for other possible popular stuff that I haven't already seen just leave a comment. This obviously isn't a complete list but I thought 25 titles up there were good enough for the moment off the top of my head.

With January Over Comes February! = Macross Month

As stated in my Birthday post, I have decided to make February the month that I tackle another one of my anime goals for the year. Watching all of Macross is among those goals and the one I am looking forward to the most.

I haven't seen any Macross series or movies aside from Macross Plus. Which to this day is still in my top 5 favourite anime of all time. So I might be either really happy with the rest of this franchise or a little disappointed. Either way I expect to be entertained and find more amazing anime music.

I plan on watching them in Chronological order as follows:

  1. Macross Zero - OVA (5 eps)
  2. Super Dimension Fortress Macross - TV (36 eps)
  3. The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love? - Movie
  4. The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Flash Back 2012 - Movie
  5. Macross Plus - OVA (4 eps) + Movie
  6. Macross 7 - TV (49 eps)
  7. Macross 7 The Galaxy Is Calling Me - Movie
  8. Macross 7 Encore - OVA (3 eps)
  9. Macross 7 Dynamite - OVA (4 eps)
  10. Macross Frontier - TV (25 eps)
  11. Macross Frontier The Movie: The False Diva - Movie (whenever it comes out)
  12. Macross Frontier Movie: The Wings of Goodbye - Movie (whenever it comes out)
  13. Macross II - Lovers, Again - Movie

If anyone has any objections to this I'd be glad to reorder. ^_^

I look forward to getting through Macross this month. I have no idea why I've put it off for this long -.-

Resolutions Anime Style! UPDATE!

So from my first post I made a list of new years anime goals but didn't list quite everything for some reason. Might have been due to the fact I wasn't at home at my computer on new years but whatever. (not cause I was drunk of course not :P) There's definitely more than 5 goals I have set for myself to conquer this year. Here's the completed list. I'll list some personal goals as well that have nothing to do with anime.

Happy New Year! Resolutions Anime Style!

The New Year is here and what better way to start than to make some anime goals! I hope everyone had a safe and awesome new years bash and is ready to face a new decade with anything and everything it throws at us.

Just like last year I plan on watching every anime that airs in 2010. Some might take a while to get to as I'm sure there are going to be a lot of sequels to shows I haven't seen, but it is always possible to catch up. I found it to be fun to do last year and I hope to pace myself better this year as well. I kinda skipped Spring last year and it proved to be a huge season that I probably shouldn't have skipped as I just finished on the 30th of December. 😛

So trying to think of some anime goals, I went around a close circle of friends from Anime-Planet and asked them for suggestions for shows that they think I should watch in the new year that I haven't seen already for one reason or another. I told them it could be anything as long as I haven't seen it before and it wasn't on my "won't watch" list on AP. After all was said and done about a week of hunting people down and nagging them for suggestions we came up with a pretty big list.

Then there is my current "want to watch" list that isn't really my personal want to watch anime but is compiled of lists that a member of AP made "just for me" they are more of a joke as he knew I wouldn't like hardly any of the anime on the list. But a challenge is a challenge and I will finish this list off. I have about 50 titles to finish off down from like 300... Doing good. I hope to be completed that stuff at the end of next year at the latest.Watch all anime started airing in 2010.

  1. Watch the list from my AP peers and make reviews for them
  2. Finish watching the "purplemo" list
  3. Read more manga
  4. Watch all anime that starts airing in 2010
  5. Watch all of Naruto

Now goal number 5 is going to be an ongoing project throughout the year that I plan on writing about whenever really. I was going to do one episode per day but I don't think I really want to actually watch Naruto everyday for a year. XD

Anywho there's my anime plans for the year. Some might get added later on and I will be putting up that list that my friends picked for me to watch soon enough. Here's some pictures to kick off the new year.

Happy New Year!!!
