chii Finally Made One!

Favourites are a great thing. What makes these shows mine is that I think about them very often when I'm thinking about anime and wish to watch them more than once. Some of them I've already watched 5+ times. To be a favourite they also must be entertaining as a whole series. So if they have season 2's or more, I should have loved them just as much as their season one. Everything on the list below applies! I've been meaning to make this kind of list for many years now and I've finally sat down and mulled through all my anime titles and picked these 100 to be my absolute favourites.

Like digitalboy I'll be updating this list regularly from now on but not once a month. I will only update when I feel an anime has stood up to my standards to break into this 100 anime list. I will keep a list at the bottom of this page which of which anime has moved in and which it has kicked out. I doubt that it'll happen very often but time will tell. 365 Days of Anime Characters: Day 347/365 Yukino Miyazawa

Day 347/365

From the anime Kare Kano, Yukino Miyazawa is a perfect model student that everyone compliments and looks up to. Yukino works really hard to get this praise and feels the need to get more and more of it. This all changes when she meets, Soichiro Arima, another perfect model student that is even better than she is at everything it seems! Now the battle is on to try and top him in everything and anything he does. But will his confession to her stand in the way of her succeeding?

Why I like her: She protects herself. Putting on a mask for others at school to see is one of the best things a person can do at that age sometimes! I love how she looks and generally acts like a complete slob at home but when she leaves the house she looks and acts perfect. Her family is wonderfully supportive of her even though she is quite odd in this manor. Her blossoming relationship with Soichiro was such a pleasure to watch.

Why I hate her: Not at all oddly enough!

Overall: I've been very very very VERY slowly collecting the manga of this because I know it goes a whole lot further than the anime did. If for some reason, someday, I'd love to see this series remade.

Day 8 of The 12 Days of Christmas

Eighth up for The 12 Days of Christmas: romance moments is Kare Kano. These 12 Days of Christmas posts aren't in any particular order. I just choose moments that actually made me feel all warm and squishy inside. Oh and there might be spoilers about so read at your own risk. For the most part though I think I’ve kept things as spoiler free as possible.

*sings* You may dream la la la la la lala....... It gets stuck in my head everytime. So catchy. The ending is AMAZING as well. Much like this anime for me. I loved it and couldn't pull myself away from the screen till I was finished. Sure everyone hates the ending but whatever I didn't mind one bit. Someday I'll get to the manga. (I own vol 1 and that's it so far lol)

Who? Yukino and Soichiro

Why they are adorable: Soichiro for one has balls. He outright tells her "I like you and want to get closer". In this they find out that they are both very similar people (with the attention whoring) and start dating. Together they promise to abandon their fake ways and be true to themselves and each other.

Through fights and sorrow these two are there for each other. Most school life romance anime don't even have the couple in a relationship and it's all about the chase. I find those boring, dry and predictable. Actually watching a romance with people actually in a relationship was refreshing.

Manga I own

I'm not huge on the manga reading unless I have it in book form. Only the past year I have actually started to read manga on-line and even then I've only read one shots as they are quick reads and I hate sitting here at the computer looking at a white screen trying to read. It takes me forever and nothing really feels right because having a book that you hold and own just feels better! All are complete unless otherwise stated.
