From the anime Macross 7, Gamlin Kizaki is a highly skilled pilot that was assigned to the elite squadron, Diamond Force. He takes his role very seriously and wished to protect everyone in City 7, especially miss Mylene whom he develops a interesting relationship with.
Why I like him: I love his way of thinking. He knows how to handle really tough situations that most would melt under. He also doesn't like Basara just as much as me. XD I like his dual personality, military tough guy to a shy civilian young man.
Why I hate him: While Mylene is cute... He could do better. 
Scroll over for ***SPOILER*** There's a good way to piss me off in anime and that's generally killing one of my favourite characters. Macross 7 decided to kill my Gamlin off but then in the next episode they randomly brought him back without explaining in a good way how he was still alive. I DO NOT APPROVE! Toying with my emotions like that is NOT cool.
Overall: Best new character that Macross 7 introduced. I wish I could eat him up.
